Anybody using Peralta online?

If so any success? I kind of like his motion offline but some of his per 9s seem low and I already locked for Ohtani so this would strictly be a buying a starter deal.

Huge fan of him IRL, but I'm biased because I'm a Brewers fan and watch every game. But I really like his Topps Now card, which is obsolete now, but I haven't used the new AS one. So with all that being said, I didn't help you with your question at all. Interested to see what others say though, lol.

The ramblings of a madman. I like it.

Gonna give him a go later tonight. I'll try and remember to come back and give a small sample size scouting report.

I pulled the Alonso HRD card in my free Derby pack on the rewards path. Sold him and bought Freddy (shelled out the extra stubs to make up the difference since Freddy is around 200K) so now I'm down to only 20K stubs atm. Alonso, at least for me, was expendable already having HRD Fielder and Ortiz. But anyways, I'll try him out tonight. I'm super excited because he's one of my favorite players.

I faced him the other day in RS, pretty filthy. Still tough to count on a SP without sinker or cutter though.

Pretty good. I rely on the slider a lot and it was devestating. His fastball doesn't have the juice to blow by everyone like you would with DeGrom so you gotta use it in different spots. I caught my opponent looking a few times by picking the bottom inside corner with it. His sinker is kind of flat though and he gave up some hard contact on it. I would say he is in the second tier of pitchers with Cliff Lee and Roy Oswalt.

He doesn't have a sinker, but thanks for the feedback. He does have a nasty slider tho and pairs that with a good curve.

You're right, it's his 5th pitch however and not too effective like most pitchers with a sinker.

First game:
Pitcher IP H R ER BB SO ERA
Peralta (L) 2.0 8 8 8 1 4 36.000Second game:
Pitcher IP H R ER BB SO ERA
Peralta 7.2 4 2 2 1 16 2.000I figured out how to use him.

I got hit hard in my first game using him but it was against a ws player in division series. So I'm taking it with a grain of salt because honestly the game was close until an inning where I simply gave up a couple of hits, got mad and then got lazy. One thing I'd suggest with him is that since he has such a fast repeatable motion, vary the time you take between pitches with him a little more otherwise you'll give your opponent too many looks at his release too quickly.
