My biggest issue as a new player
-
Lack of patience and pressing at the plate. Case in point my last events game, start off with a single and double with trea and Jackie and then strike out 3 in a row. Happens almost everytime I get players on the bases. Back to the batting tee I guess.

just like in real life, people get anxious to do something in high situations

I've played since like '15 and I still have that same issue. I also have an annoying habit of focusing my attention way too much on the lower half of the strike zone, so I tend to instinctively golf at everything and have trouble hitting high pitches.
Thankfully I'm at least halfway decent at pitching so I can steal a win here and there. I swear if I ever learn to hit I'll be a world series caliber player overnight lol.

You gotta understand people online will do anything to not throw you a strike. But then panic when they fall behind and usually will throw a high and in fastball. Biggest advice anyone could give on this game is patience.
I always put my pci low and away to start an at bat. I don't swing unless it's a low and away pitch because those are my favorite. I will continue to do that until I have a strike against me. You'd be surprise how many times you'll get to 2-0 just by not doing anything. Then the pressure is on the pitcher and like I said they usually fall back to the meta which is high and in fastballs or low and away pitches. Good luck.
