All I know is it has not gotten any better.
Contact swing has most definitely been nerfed therefore it is better. Normal swing has not been touched. Its a good update amd things are looking up as far as hitting goes.

That’s what contact swings are for, to put the ball in play and to stay alive in 2 strike counts. Off pci hits are a problem but it has to be coded that way, I have come to terms with giving up a few of those per game.

I love when my opponenrs have that huge PCI now, I just throw competitive pitches and get outs very easily

V if that’s what contact swing is for, leave that [censored] in offline non-Competitive play. I’m over the off the ball dinkers and dribblers . I can see if the ball was at the edge of the pci, but I’m talking about balls not even close to it. Then those leading to a 2 run homer the very next AB. It gets frustrating. Especially when you know you executed a pitch to induce bad swings. Also putting good swings on the ball resulting in outs way more than they should, in comparison.

It’s frustrating, I know, I was forced to come to terms with it. I think they need to tone down the success rate for those bloops. Hopefully it can be adjusted soon.

They nerfed pitching and hitting and the game is so much better now. No longer just a HR derby, but now plays like baseball.

I feel like people who complain about hitting this quickly after a patch are the same people who use a card for one game and go 0-4 and say he sucks and sell him. We all have days where it seems like all your good contact isn’t being rewarded and you can’t hit your way out of a paper bag. The next day you look like a top 50 player.
Let’s try a larger sample size.

Im not sure how anyone could say hitting is nerfed in moonshot event. I hit a hr with the 74 cruz with contact swing trying to finish that program. Was trying for sac fly so i did contact but have been using normal for everyone else. I know RS hof an legend will be tougher but seriously hittin in this event shouldnt be an issue with normal swing

you cant change something without it affecting something else, see this every year. tweak this and it tweaks something else up. sds like to provide a variety of how the game plays throughout the year, nothing is ever consistent.
on the flip side theres a part of me that thinks as the season goes by cards become unusable as higher tier numbered cards come out, so in theory hitting will change to a certain point because 81 gold so and so should not hit like a 96 so and so, or they shouldnt i dont think.
but the hitting mechanics of the game are just a problem in general. -
