The only way for them to be successfully proactive on these is to have a very aggressive filter that flags names for moderation. It would then probably take a full time employee, whose job is to do nothing except review and act on them.

Sounds good to me. Also, I still need a job so I'm up for it, SDS.

If my daughter has a peanut allergy and my opponent is rocking a Mr. Peanut logo can I report him?

Or employ the same filter in game that they use on their forums and simply not allow it. No moderation, no review, nothing.

Honestly I could use the job

Not sure if it does much good, but I always report this stuff from the game history screen.

While I don’t agree with what I read in the first posters picture. Why the heck is everyone so [censored] sensitive these days? You cats would of never made it in the 90’s. [censored] I miss those days. See something move on. Don’t like it quit. If you have kids. Don’t allow them in the vault. Same time, live a little. Life’s to short to be upset all the time. Things are never gonna be about just you and you will never be able to control everyone and/or everything. Take something and move on!

I'm 45. I have kids. I left my screen on in my study a couple weeks ago after a game as it went to extra innings and dinner was ready. Daughter (12) comes into the living room and asks why I have a pen!s on my computer screen. The wife was REALLY happy about that lol
It was the after game screen that we get kicked out to. She wasnt flipping through the vault. She wasn't even playing the game - although she would have seen the massive dong logo on the field had she come in while I was playing.
The Show is a video game rated E for everyone yet it freely allows pornographic logos and team names.

I remember the 90s having a much higher level of civility than you do. The anonymity of the internet has taken its toll on the public square.

lol, "you cats would of never made it in the 90's"
Son, I got my first college degree in the 90's. Leave the high horse at home. This is not even remotely OK for an "E" rated game, kids play this game.
Tipper Gore and the Congressional wives task force started pushing the idea of ratings and censorship for media that kids have access to in 1979 (comic books, magazines, music, movies, television shows, and eventually video games). Maybe a bit of history on media censorship and ratings are in order for you if you think "the 90's" was more forgiving.
While it will turn some people away due to the above mentioned issues with kids, it will ultimately result in either a lawsuit, or a ratings change. They can't put "E" on the game while also allowing pornographic materials in the game. Currently the ESRB states that online experiences aren't rated, but one ticked off parent and a financially motivated lawyer can change that quickly.
Don't believe me? Google Sam Keller and EA. That lawsuit not only removed a video game from the market, but it has now allowed college athletes to receive financial compensation for anything that uses their likeness (including advertising, social media, print media, and video games).

Hi!!!!!!!!
-
People creating idiotic Team and CAP names have always been around but this year it seems like a ton more. Probably the X Box effect.
-
Now that they have real uniforms in the game I fear it's just a matter of time before they phase out the uniform creator. Which sucks, because I love the uniform creator, but I can't imagine a logo vault full of b00bs and d0ngs is worth the hassle for SDS.

I don't think they'll faze out the Uniform creator but I have to say I totally welcome the Uniform feature being added. 9 years of seeing opponents in Pink jerseys with Neon Green pants and pinstripes really did a number on my eyes...
Probably the most under rated addition this year but one that made a huge difference for visual enjoyment.
-
Oh, I'm glad they added real uniforms too, I just hope you always have the option to make custom uniforms. I actually enjoy messing with my uniforms almost as much as playing the game. Yes, probably because I suck lol.
