Big Stub sell don't miss it

Again, if you got money to dump on a hobby..or whatever you consider this game...get after it..free country (well sorta). If you worked for it..spend it on what you want.
But, there are reasons they have laws, rules, and regulations about gambling. It destroys peoples life. MLB the Show pack gambling is a Gateway to the casinos, horse tracks, and Russian Roulette.
-
People will play the game the way they see fit. If that means spending money, if they have it spare, more power to them.
I don't get these types of posts, or the no money spent ones. You do you boo.

All I'm saying..and this is the morality in me coming out. the pure Christian spirit. Don't take advantage of the innocent. Don't encourage those without to lose their homes, farms, sell their own children... chasing Trout.

Judge not, that ye be not judged.

Your watching to much Dateline lately. Kids aren’t innocent if their parents are stupid enough to do as they command. Start with bad parenting before we sell our houses or start hooking

Dont care anymore but it just boosts up the market for people trying for collections NMS. It'll go back down eventually anyways. It just seems everyone and their mom has trout now but I am still waiting to pack him or buy him at a lower price.
-
I’m a NMS in many ways. I was planning to buy the game, the Game Pass announcement was just a nice bonus to see. I got Trout in a pack for the first time ever, never did on PS so I was pumped. Had some lucky pulls, just played and now I’m three cards away from Chipper. Mind you two of them are deGrom and Acuna lol.

Let me throw some personal knowledge your way
I got a new Financial Advisor at my job who works with me. Dude legit would work 17 hours a day if his wife let him. But he’s loaded. I recently turned him on to the show and he calls me one night. He’s pissed. He goes “ how am I suppose to be competitive with these cards against these god squad guys”? I told him about buying stubs and he couldn’t believe it cause in Madden you can’t do this. So the guy drops hundreds of dollars so he can field, in his eyes, a competitive team. Time is his nemesis so he just buys what we grind. He made me realize why some ppl do it
^^^THIS. Not everyone has the time to grind, and for those who have susbtantial income (whose time is much more valuable), spending money on stubs is waaaay more cost/time effective than spending time to grind.

That's a great story.

Why you pocket watching. I personally think this post is more weird than someone spending they own money
-
I mean those that spend money do help this game. SDS is a company that makes 1 game and supports it for 9-10 months with content. That means there are staff and developers that need to be paid so profits from stub sales help with that.
I spend some extra dollars on this game because I can now if someone buys stubs because I say I do and they are not in a position to that's not my fault and the likely hood is they would have done it Regardless if I promoted it or not.
-
This made the gatekeeper prices go up.
I still need Cole and Trout. Cole is a 91. No way he should be as costly as he went back up to. -
The irony of you saying college is a good investment when in the US social media is flooded by people who listened to the go to college mantra can’t get a job and are forever in debt with a worthless degree. I think a more comparable thing is like going to a movie or something that has a short shelf life. People can’t spend $50 on a date at the movies that has a 3 hour entertainment value. This game provides hundreds of hours. I just find it weird people always bash disposable income spent on entertainment when pretty much everyone throws some amount at these things.
-
I see both sides of the argument but I'll play devils advocate here. To make stubs it is either time or money. Some people have more money than time, for others it is the opposite. When the game comes out, it is my busiest time of the year. I spent 200 bucks to get a jump start and I won't spend a dime the rest of the year. I have LS done, Jackie and Mariano. You also need to look at it not as an investment but as entertainment. 200 dollars is dinner and a night out with the wife. A good time but a terrible investment. Think about how much money you spend on entertainment and what you are left with afterwards. Movies, booze, concerts, sporting events are great, but after you have consumed them you have nothing.
As for preying on the weak and thise that do not have money, unfortunately every business does this. I have a cousin who makes minimum wage but buys atleast 2 packs of cigarettes per day. Can he afford it? No. Does he need cigarettes? No. Should he use that money elsewhere? Yes. Will he actually do it? No. Why? Because he likes smoking.
Now stubs are easy to come by this year, so I agree that you don't need to spend money but alot of people don't have the time to grind events or work the market for them the money is worth the time. -
You are going to have all walks of life here. Guys with money and time to grind. Most of them are liars, but Im sure they exist. Not everyone who posts here is an amazing lawyer who works three hours a day and plays video games every other waking moment. Most rich dudes I know have bigger fish to catch than a video game. Then you have guys who pay. Or guys who grind. At least this game gives you options.

Great lawyer don’t work 3 hours a day lmao, if they did, they wouldn’t be great
-
I don’t understand why you care what people do with their money. I wasn’t even planning on getting the game until later until I got a promotion at work in April where it was retroactive so I used some of the extra cash to get the game. I also just paid off my student loans last month where they actually had to give me a refund which I’m using part of it to get a PS5. I wouldn’t be able to do any of this without the extra disposable income. I’d rather put my money into video games and playing poker as those are things I enjoy doing.

My friend KT has spent $300 so far and still doesn’t have the Trout he covets…
I got Trout while I was at work 1 day just by flipping cards on the online market. Literally started with about 10,000 stubs (after getting all the other high priced cards) and was able to get about 500,000 stubs by the time I left work that day.
That was about a week ago. I still pay the market while at work (not as much though), and have a balance of over 750,000 stubs again.
Not a single dime spent. Just my time while I was at work anyways just flipping cards.
