What drove him away..the zany and occasional glitch in Conquest where you'll simulate a match and he lost 15-2. Had seen it one too many times. Evidently he been complaining about it for years and they wouldn't fix it. Supposedly, if you believe his post, he's done with the game.
Most people that buy this game never land on this forum. They see these things and just think "inferior product" consider the $50 purchase sunk money and never buy it again.
I'm sure most on this forum don't make big announcements..they just quit playing and quit buying.
Some try to change things for the better. When the futility of it sets in, you just find a different game to play or take up a better hobby.
That was a little harsh but I wouldn't call it trolly, I think he was just saying you need to relax a bit. Not just the difficulty level affects the outcome- we all have bad games or get out of sync sometimes. Just like real baseball. You probably really should just do veteran, and then even still you'll probably lose sometimes, especially when you're on tilt. And as far as the sims go, the probability meter never goes 100 percent so you shouldn't assume that'll be a win every time either.

Most people admit that every so often you will have that conquest game where the CPU is a bit harder all of a sudden and chalk it up to "That's baseball". But you have to wonder how a video game simulates that sentiment.
Personally, I think the 3 inning games having pitchers with lower stamina/energy it introduces more RNG and sometimes (very rarely) that means it's harder to beat them.
I've probably played thousands of Conquest games and it's never hard to win them, but every so often you get that game where you have to walk it off in extra innings because everything you hit is right at someone.

Yeah..that doesn't explain 3 straight hits against a fresh 89 closer on all-star mode. The most perfect example of DDA in a game ever.
If they wrote it up in the dictionary. It would be
DDA - Dynamic Difficulty Assist. example - guy wins 25 straight Conquest games on variety of levels including Legend.
Plays on All-star (steal fans) mode and computer control kicks in to invoke a loss 'cause it thinks he might be bored from winning all the time.I'm not bored. I just want to get through the truckin' GD maps as quick as I can, like everyone else.
Save the DDA for RS where you got no choice but to insult one player or the other. Computer doesn't get insulted when a player wins. They have no emotion.

I'm not making fun of your condition, it's probably quite the stigma to have to carry around. Best to just keep your posts very short and don't ever try to recite something you read. Copy and paste. That's probably your best bet.

Steal, stronghold games or regular take over an hexagon by playing instead of simming is the same across the board. I play on AS or HoF and there’s never been any variations in difficulty. Stop making stuff up to justify your shortcomings; play on Vet if you struggle.

Don't have time to argue with the trolls today. I stated my case, if they don't fix it it wouldn't surprise me.
I know some long time player posted a big soliloquy a couple days ago because he was done. What drove him away..the zany and occasional glitch in Conquest where you'll simulate a match and he lost 15-2. Had seen it one too many times. Evidently he been complaining about it for years and they wouldn't fix it. Supposedly, if you believe his post, he's done with the game.
Most people that buy this game never land on this forum. They see these things and just think "inferior product" consider the $50 purchase sunk money and never buy it again.
I'm sure most on this forum don't make big announcements..they just quit playing and quit buying.
Some try to change things for the better. When the futility of it sets in, you just find a different game to play or take up a better hobby.
That was a little harsh but I wouldn't call it trolly, I think he was just saying you need to relax a bit. Not just the difficulty level affects the outcome- we all have bad games or get out of sync sometimes. Just like real baseball. You probably really should just do veteran, and then even still you'll probably lose sometimes, especially when you're on tilt. And as far as the sims go, the probability meter never goes 100 percent so you shouldn't assume that'll be a win every time either.

I don't believe I ever start caca with anyone on the forum. Never my intent.
I speak my mind about "stuff" in general. If you don't like it..doesn't mean it's not true. If you have an agenda to suppress it..still doesn't mean it's not true.
But, I will never let one go that someone starts with me. If you want to reply to one of my heart-felt and fairly well investigated posts about irregular stuff with a sane argument that's not an attack...I'll give you the same consideration.
