Big Stub sell don't miss it

I just think anyone that actually purchases stubs in this game, whether on sale or not, ain't seeing the forest for the trees. Has money to burn, or mum and dad are generous and just indulge little Junior.
Personally it's a pretty large waste of currency. Even if it's just a little expenditure..it's a little too much.
The cards bring nothing to the table. You will win and you will lose with an all elite Diamond team or the SD Padres. If your only inspiration is to play the market, that's just weird. Go play the stock market or something that's really worth the effort.
Just my opinion, but anyone that claims to play this game just to play the market should, instead, just buy a copy of Monopoly for PS5. You'll get more satisfaction and financial strategy out of it.
I get the whole premise of buying packs on some of the EA sporting games. It's the only way you can really be competitive. But on The Show..they give this stuff away. Take it and laugh all the way to the bank as you save your hard earned money.
No offense, just trying to get through to the impressionable that think, just 'cause someone else posted they spend stupid money on packs..they should to.
Kids, don't believe all that Trout hype. Players are being given away in events that have better numbers. I see posts everyday from people claiming Trout never gets hits off of them.
Half the ppl posting about pulling a Trout likely work for the company and it's pure promotional. Don't give into the manipulation. Save your money for a good college..or car.

I agree it’s definitely not a smart financial decision. But I don’t care what people do with their own money. It doesn’t really effect me in anyway except it gives SDS more of an opportunity to get more players added. So strangers can spend all they want! Thank you.

I don't care what ppl do with their money either.
I just sometimes get the sneakiest suspicion a lot of these posts are aimed to manipulate the innocent/naive into spending their money. Ain't exactly fair but, I suppose, life ain't fair.
Could be spending their money on meth, cigs, or women (trouble that last one). Ha.

Who cares. Spend the money if you want. It’s entertainment. No money spend, $1000 spent, don’t matter to me. Still have to compete against these players either way. Ever hear the expression time is money? Some of these players don’t have the time or patience to get these cards as quickly as others with the time.

Let me throw some personal knowledge your way
I got a new Financial Advisor at my job who works with me. Dude legit would work 17 hours a day if his wife let him. But he’s loaded. I recently turned him on to the show and he calls me one night. He’s pissed. He goes “ how am I suppose to be competitive with these cards against these god squad guys”? I told him about buying stubs and he couldn’t believe it cause in Madden you can’t do this. So the guy drops hundreds of dollars so he can field, in his eyes, a competitive team. Time is his nemesis so he just buys what we grind. He made me realize why some ppl do it

2nd bit of knowledge for ya. My son is 12. Crazy I know but I only allow him to play video games for a certain amount of time each day. He still is goo goo ga ga over Fortnite so doesn’t have much time to play other games so when he jumps on Madden or the show and has some allowance he wants to spend to get cards I let him cause he can’t grind. I won’t let him play that much. So I don’t indulge little junior he earns it

Again, if you got money to dump on a hobby..or whatever you consider this game...get after it..free country (well sorta). If you worked for it..spend it on what you want.
But, there are reasons they have laws, rules, and regulations about gambling. It destroys peoples life. MLB the Show pack gambling is a Gateway to the casinos, horse tracks, and Russian Roulette.

People will play the game the way they see fit. If that means spending money, if they have it spare, more power to them.

Dont care anymore but it just boosts up the market for people trying for collections NMS. It'll go back down eventually anyways. It just seems everyone and their mom has trout now but I am still waiting to pack him or buy him at a lower price.

I’m a NMS in many ways. I was planning to buy the game, the Game Pass announcement was just a nice bonus to see. I got Trout in a pack for the first time ever, never did on PS so I was pumped. Had some lucky pulls, just played and now I’m three cards away from Chipper. Mind you two of them are deGrom and Acuna lol.

^^^THIS. Not everyone has the time to grind, and for those who have susbtantial income (whose time is much more valuable), spending money on stubs is waaaay more cost/time effective than spending time to grind.
