In a perfect world yeah. But I’m stuck in one right now and I really don’t want to take a loss because I’m about to jump divisions w a win. What should I do?

Sounds like you are looking for someone's approval to stay and try for the win. You said you want to stay in the game so you don't get the loss, that's what you should do

Ealry in the year there are guys who know how to induce a freeze off. I should say there are more of them early in the year and then they eventually go away. There was a certain thing last year that made it easy to see, not sure if it is there this year or not. I am not gonna elaborate for obvious reasons. So for the morality of things tuff it out so people dont keep using this exploit. even though your situation does not sound like it is one, you never know.

I personally NEVER give up in a freeze off nomatter the score. Think of it as sudden death overtime. May the man with the best internet provider win.

Yes. Unless your opponent held R2 and bunt danced. Then there is no etiquette to back out.
