Why don't event teams save , it's so annoying?

Literally one of the reason I won’t touch events if I have to get it below a certain point each time. It’s such a drag and not worth the time.

Eh? I created a new squad from the main page in DD and went into Events and low and behold it was the exact same team as I had in my main menu.
This is the first time I’ve ever played an event so maybe they’ve changed the way it works?

You weren't in Events then, you were in Ranked.
Events have specific requirements so you can't just roll in with your god squad. Like the current event is switch hitters only and silver/gold pitchers only.

They used to save a few years back maybe in like 18 or 19 if I recall. stupid they don't!

That makes no sense because i played a 3 inning game with the team
I created a new squad like you would after seeing what the requirements were in the Event (not realising the event page does this for you) and when I went to enter the event it said “my team meet the requirements”. It auto ported over the team I had created.

It may have been a previous event that allowed you to use your normal squad. I think the game auto builds the best squad available with the cards you own, so that may be what happened. Nice coincidence then!

Automatically being set to your last roster entry would be a great QoL change.

yea this one isnt so bad since all i need to do is buff my bullpen up and throw maddux and nola in as starters, but the ones where the autogenerated team is like 4 points above the max overall just make me not wanna bother. but completely agree, this seems like an easy fix that would make the game more enjoyable
