USA CQ map help

Man…. I feel like I spend so much time going back and Defending my territory rather than expanding and capturing other territories.
Does anyone have any advice for this map?
Thanks! -
Depends on how far into it you are. You have to build up defenses to prevent territory take overs. Attack region by region.
-
Anytime the cpu has 3 or more in a hexagon near your borders it is planning on attacking. The cpu will not defeat a tile with 4 of your fans in it
-
Build a wall of 4 reinforcements around your stronghold. That’s all you need.
Also you might want to steal fans a few rounds. I usually steal fans the first 2-3 rounds just to get a decent cushion.
If that doesn’t help, there’s a few youtube video tutorials that can help

I know there are people who have done this map 10 times... I finally finished the map today
-
Play all the steal fans on legend and you can finish the entire map on turn 17.
-
- Never play non-strongholds (unless you're doing Steal missions)
- Use the first few rounds to surround your stronghold.
- After that, just go conquer every territory except the strongholds. If you see any opponent start to get close, use your next turn to wipe out their advances.
- Attack every stronghold on Rookie.
- Collect your Prospect Packs and 10 Pack Bundle.
- Repeat.
-
Just leave 3 in all bases and you should be fine.
-
I completed it last night for the third time and did not get the 10 pack bundle. That sucked.

Probably not missing anything other then silvers though. I'm on my 5th run and have yet to even get a gold from that 10 pack.

With all the simulations and everything? That's wild. Obviously you can get all the strongholds by turn 12 as quite a few of us did in the only redeeming quality of 18 but the entire map in 17 turns is nuts
-
I’m on my third play through for 21, probably did it about 20 times last year until repeatable run it back came out.
My keys to the map are steal fans early, and use your reinforcements to pick up spots until you can’t add anymore, then start trying to pick off the strongholds. Last year it was Colorado first, then Seattle, down the west coast before coming through Arizona and Texas. Then you can kinda do whatever you want.
Also I always leave a few reinforcements on each stronghold

Yeah I just go straight lines towards the strongholds and steal fans on legend exclusively, sim everything else. I'm pretty sure that you can even finish it on turn 16 if all your sims go in your favor.

I'm almost done for the 2nd time. Once you get like 1/3 of the way in it gets a lot quicker and easier. I usually go west and complete that and work my way east. Once I take a strong hold I put a few reinforcements around it so it cant be taken back and move on.

Thanks! The CPU won't attack a stronghold until its completely isolated/surrounded. So easiest way is to keep a few tiles capped around it. If you're worried about the cpu actually surrounding you, throw a few extra fans in the stronghold....seems to keep them from attacking.

Thanks! It's like the board game Risk.
Shore up your borders.
And don't over-extend yourself. -
I've done the map over 20 times. Start by surrounding the Rockies. Then steal fans vs Rockies until there are none to steal. Then attack their stronghold. From there move southwest and do DBacks. Then fortify your original stronghold and attack the rest of west. After the west, move from Dbacks area to Texas strongholds along with starting to fortify around Twins. After finishing Texas move from Twins through Midwest. Then move from. Texas area and take southeast strongholds. From there all that is left is East. I always play on Rookie to beat strongholds because I try to get the maximum parallel points. It takes longer that way. To shorten the map you can play strongholds on veteran or all star.

I’ve completed at least ten times… at beginning acquire as many empty spaces as possible while leaving spaces around your stronghold open… ie build outer perimeter wall first. First few rounds the cpu builds around theirs then expands out. Therefore do the opposite which allows you to make a larger initial boundary. Then fill in the spaces near your stronghold. If cpu breaks outer perimeter (will only attack with 3+) then next turn attack that spot.
You will acquire more territory this way early on and not fighting the cpu and wasting any fans. Then start attacking cpu territories with least number of fans and expand as far as you can in the first 15-20 rounds. Then skip a round to build up fans then attack the cpu strongholds. Rinse and repeat from this point on.

I make an initial circle first three rounds that is a couple spaces wide, then next round I go south and then west. Always a straight line making an outer perimeter wall/boundary. This forces the cpu to stop going that direction because they only attack with 3+ (at least initially). Make your outer walls as wide and far as possible early on. Then fill in the middle spaces and then start to attack cpu territories.
Hope this helps… makes a huge difference. I can complete entire map in 23-30 turns and that is fighting cpu on rookie.

My strategy is just guard the original stronghold while making my west towards the Mariners and gaining as many territories as possible early since it helps you gain reinforcements. After taking out the Mariners go down towards the Giants, A's, Dodgers, Angels, etc. and just slowly take out the whole west. Once you have the west you have enough territories to have reinforcements to be able to out anyone left. But yeah I go west to east finishing in the northwest which is usually guarded by Redsox/Blue Jays
