Need some help!

Hi there, this is truly me asking for some advice or maybe something that has worked for y’all.

I’m experiencing insane lagging and choppy play online. I have followed a lot of advice through the year but I AM playing on a PS4 (and yes I understand the PS5 runs smoother but we all can’t magically get a PS5 unfortunately)

I have a good monitor. I have my internet wired to PS4 instead of using WiFi now. I’m using my controller plugged in instead of unplugged now. I try my best to be home team / I check to see if lag happens when you are choosing pitcher and won’t play a game if it’s a huge delay scrolling pitchers. I also have adjusted settings often, based on YouTube videos of people giving optimal settings for PS4 smooth online gameplay.

However, nothing seems to work for me. I’m a decent player. (31-7 RS and have gone 12-0 in BR)

The choppy gameplay is making this almost unplayable for me. Even if there is no delay on pitcher selection screen, sure enough hop into a game and bam...you are left to just guess a pitch and swing with a prayer bc the frame rate is dropping so badly. (Oh and mind you I also have changed my settings and turned crossplay off)

So if you have any suggestions or have a fix to this besides “bruh get a PS5”, it would be much appreciated! Thanks!

I stopped playing RS for like a week because of this. Played again last night and I could read pitches one inning then had to guess the next. Crazy how I was hitting well above .300 and had a 40-9 record to start this season and now I’m 63-28, hitting a mediocre .229.

Game is ruined tbh
