To get the lightning player of the month cards collection must be completed?

You need to complete the collection to get the lightning card right? But also you do not get enough players from the previous reward tiers to complete so you always need to buy some? Or am I missing another way to fill it out?

If you kept all your TN cards you should have enough and not have to buy anything

Do the tops now moments, dont sale, then when you unlock the packs in the monthly path you wont need to buy any

As soon as you've done enough moments and missions to collect the final card and final pack before the lightning...do the collection. That way you don't end up doing any unnecessary moments/missions.

There's weekly tops now moments to complete. Do the may ones, they go in the collection. Topps now moments usually come out every Friday

As people noted, there is no need to buy any of them as long as you do the Topps now moments for the free packs and always choose cards you don't have (and don't sell). They do not expire and between the packs from moments + the ones in the program, you can complete the collection.
But yes, the collection is required otherwise you fall a few points short.

Yes.. u will be missing 2 points otherwise. I completed APR and MAY and had to use collections for both months.
It's why the weekly Topps Now cards are keeping value. Just don't sell any because u will pay 10k to 20k to get them back.
Even if you don't want the current card you may want future players. You will then need the previous cards to get that player.
Glad I got April's so quick and saw what SDS was doing before I sold any. They really went out of the way to limit instant gratification vs long term gains.
