Don’t remember that one! My fav old baseball game is Sports Talk baseball on Genesis.
I remember sports talk football and it was always 2-3 plays behind on commentary

ken griffey jr baseball was my game growing up. there was a cheat . up, down, left, right which would make ken griffey point to center and you'd hit a homerun every time. classic.

I think Baseball Stars is still the best baseball game made and that was 30 years ago.
It was, still is, and forever will the best baseball game of all time
Yep; I’d create 6 teams, trade for all the 80+ max players, retire them and retire another team completely, play with 2 controllers until 10-0 and boost all their prestige to 15 for max money. Then I’d boost my entire team and when all that was done, create a league of 6 teams x 25 games.

My dad created a complete 162 game schedule for my 6 teams. I made 6 “all-time” teams and it was a blast. Robbing home runs was so much fun and way easier in that game- the fielding in general was great.

robbing home runs was so much fun
And... if you missed, they'd fall over the wall and into the stands... AWESOME.

Loved Baseball Stars. But my favorite was Bases Loaded. Load up the bases, hit the #4 hitter (mostly Oko or Fendy) and your pitcher gets a beat down. Then in Bases Loaded II, the benches cleared. It was priceless.

Oko was my dude. are these the only games where the batter could charge the mound?

From what I remember, yes.

Dusty Diamond Softball was another gem. You got to go back and forth drafting your team with your opponent before playing. Davy D ... amn!!!
