Current gen player here. Not one to usually complain about games but I don’t believe expecting the game to simply be playable is “complaining”. It’s rather hard to play any game who’s frame rate drops from an advertised 60 to 15-20fps on average… Especially in a game that’s 90 percent timing based. Hard as hell to tell the difference in pitches when you can’t even see where the ball breaks.. I’m not expecting the bells and whistles of what the new gen has. I don’t care to create a stadium or have different animations. Asking for it to simply run smooth enough to the point where the frame rates dropping aren’t a determining factor as to weather or not I can time a pitch perfect… If it wasn’t intended for current gen consoles and this was something that was known prior to release then why even sell it? Seems rather evil to lab rat an entire gaming community…and it’s no secret that obtaining a next gen console for a reasonable price is as promising as obtaining nuclear launch codes, not to mention the argument that the only fix to an unplayable 60 dollar game is to seemingly purchase a 500 dollar console is completely insane… hopefully it’s resolved as the game has only been out two months but it’s understandable why a lot of people are upset…. imagine those who spent 100 on the digital version only to find out they can’t even enjoy it….

You're totally free to keep playing but if you don't enjoy it or have fun when playing it might do you some good to take another break from the game and play something you get some fun out of.
How does this in anyway provide any get back for the people who paid for a defective product? I didnt buy the game to not play it this is actually the first game That looked decent enough to buy since red dead 2…and seeing as there are no refunds for digital purchases a lot of people are stuck with basically spending 60 to have a game that they never play just in the cloud 🥲

I get it, it sucks but that's the risk when you buy a video game, sometimes they suck. Personally I'm having fun with the game but I understand people's frustration. Post a bad review or post some constructive criticism with specific areas you think should get better.Like I said if anyone wants to keep playing go ahead buy me personally if I am getting no enjoyment out of something I'm not gonna keep doing it just out of principle.

You would still be able to get a refund for the cat [censored] tacos tho… Wouldn’t be forced to pay 60 to put it as a screensaver on your phone to constantly remind you

Personally I have about 3-4 other games to fall back on including the new D&D Dark Alliance game which drops tonight. If you're wanting to write out a report complaining about flaws that you think should be fixed that's fine but this is hardly the place to do it.

Yep..and you would expect Taco Bell to give you a refund. And, they likely would, because that would be so-so much cheaper than the lawsuit you could throw at them for deceptive practice, fraud, and, basically, selling you some bad $hit..of the feline variety.
So, what you do to get some satisfaction is vent-VEnt- and VENT even more. It's more healthy than trying to hold it in.
Plus, maybe, SDS will have the integrity and social conscience to address some of our gripes. But they can't address them if they don't know about them. Well, I'm sure they know about them, but if the customers ain't complaining..they don't care.

Didn’t buy madden 21 and wasn’t planning on getting 22…. This was supposed to be the game I played after work for the next year at least and I’m at wits end after 2 days 🥲

I’m sure the devs know and are trying but I’m just at a loss..can’t get a refund cause it’s digital.. legit the first game I’ve bought since madden 20 came out.(aug 19’)…. Didn’t buy madden 21 and wasn’t planning on getting 22…. This was supposed to be the game I played after work for the next year at least and I’m at wits end after 2 days 🥲
I think the game works the way the developers intended. Gather terabytes worth of real life MLB animation. Attempt to wrap it around controller input in order to offer up a facsimile of real life MLB.
Problem is, the emphasis is on the animation..not the continuity of controller invoking the proper animation. I'm sure they would pull it off if they could..but they can't.
Which is fine, but where they cross the line is trying to market this false notion that the game is representative of real-life competition.
RS wins/losses are completely and totally at the mercy of the smoke-and-mirror resulting animation the game displays on your monitor.
Practice, strategy, cards are irrelevant. And that is a big bummer. But it's fun to watch the animation when it reflects positively for your team.

I’m not gonna lie I feel like you’re a dev on a burner tryin to tell me yaal tried but it will never be able to run to those specs on current gen 🥲. I never could play MLB cause I always had Xbox growing up. Finally get the chance and now I can’t enjoy it the way I see YouTube videos of the smooth gameplay on next gen.( there’s side by side videos of next gen to current gen xbox frame rate drop to see what I mean.. but I’m sure you’ve peeped)… and even if I wanted to upgrade to next gen it’s impossible to get a console under 900…No refund on a game I bought 2 days ago.🥲No telling if the current gen will even be able to be patched.. 🥲..The harsh reality of the only fix being at least 500 dollars…

I take no issue with what you're saying though I think you're expecting more than this development team can give. However, I do think that the statement that cards are irrelevant is 100% false. If you really think they are then I would say you should build a team of commons and bronzes and go into ranked season, play 10 to 15 games and see how you do. Then turn around and use a team of all high level diamonds and do the same 10 to 15 games and see. I'm pretty sure you will do a hell of a lot better with diamonds than commons and bronzes.
