Have you ever lost a game like this?

I played a game against the #2 ranked online rated player. His username suggests he's a fan of an American League East team in New York which employs Judge and Stanton.
Bottom of the first, my player hits a catchable flyball to right. My opponent intentionally mistimes his jump with his right fielder allowing the ball to roll to the wall while the center fielder auto fields it. I round the bases for an inside-the-park home run. The game is now frozen.
Puzzled why such a skilled player would resort to lowly measures, I took a peek at my opponent's game history. I found games littered with 0-0, 1-0 wins on his behalf, but the curious thing is that they all ended within the first two innings about 15-20 minutes apart. I think I know how this person racked up 51 wins in a row.
I thought SDS patched up these freeze glitches, but apparently, there are more out there. Share your experiences...

It was only the intentional walk freeze that got fixed because that was the most obvious. Everything else, they are reviewing to see what exactly causes them as they don't seem to be intentional.

I suppose I'm naive for thinking users with an abnormally high win percentage equates with their game skills. After perusing the top 100 online rated players and checking the profiles of those with single-digit losses, it's apparent that this particular user is not the only bad apple of the bunch. Several of these abusers use similar freeze tactics especially when their opponents score early runs. It's highly unlikely their opponents would willingly disconnect and concede a game when they're leading. These patterns are present in every single one of these suspicious accounts.
Going back to what you said, I think it's good that SDS is exploring the causes of the many glitches afflicting online play. However, I think it's equally as important to preserve the integrity of the game and the ranking system. Wouldn't you agree that it wouldn't take much for SDS to review the game history of its top 100 or so rated players?

Indeed its very dumb what those players do, because anyone can see they have not achieved that because of their skill playing the game, but their skill cheating. At this point, since I can't imagine how I can feel anything positive knowing that I actually didn't won those games, I think I would have to go the doctor if I were one of those persons.
Regarding the revision of the stats, there are millions of players on this game. Unless they implement a sentinel service that is trying to verify the accuracy of the result, by hand it would be impossible. And even though you may think these are only several top players, if they check their numbers then they have to check anyone else with the same criteria. It can become a mess really quick.

Just a word of caution, game history alone isn’t really telling the whole story. There’s this mode call “Extra Innings.” In that mode you play other players teams, except their team is controlled by the CPU. Those games show up in both players histories, so you have to actually look at it on the console to see which mode was used for that game. A lot of the “top” players will have their game history littered with games from this mode, people like to play them just to see their lineups and feel like they’ve “beaten” these top teams. A lot of people will play 1-2 innings and just quit.
This is not to say that some of the players you’re looking at may not be “cheating,” but to just look at their game history via the website and without knowing what mode these games were played in, using really getting all the necessary specifics.

Yes , I agree. Although I didn't knew of this mode since I pretty much play online rated only, I would guess these are the kind of things that makes a database revision so hard to be done fairly.
