It’d be easier to score by putting in 8 guys that have 90+ speed and just repeatedly bunt
Hmmm.... that gives me an idea...

I’m an above average player I’d say, and hall of fame is just freaking ridiculous. I don’t think I’ve been in a game where one of the teams hasn’t struck out 15 or more times despite myself and my opponent contact swinging. I understand this isn’t a problem for top tier players but it just isn’t fun at all. It’d be easier to score by putting in 8 guys that have 90+ speed and just repeatedly bunt
I couldn't disagree more. Yes the game has issues but All-Star is absolutely a nightmare. If you are striking out 15 times then you really need to practice because that is not my experience whatsoever and I am not top-tier. Gameplay is way better on Hall of Fame than it does on All Star and like I said in the past Legend is another breed
Idk bro, what are we considering a top tier player? I do agree that if you’re striking out 15 times a game that practice is Probly in order. But there lies the problem. Back in ‘17, guys could make WS without “practicing”. I did it 5 times and never took one minute of BP. They’ve changed the game so much that I seriously doubt the average Joe can make WS without some sort of practice. Whether it be BP or just logging a lot of hours in RS. This catering to upper level players is gonna result in SDS losing the casual fan player base. I made it as high as 843 and that’s as good as it’s gonna get for me lol. I enjoy grinding programs and the occasional online game. I refuse to put in more time than I already do. I work 12 hours a day at the chemical plant.
There isn't enough practice to prepare you for warping 110 mph pitches with zero time to read and react. Trust me I've tried. I take a ton of bp against the cpu on legend and can turn on 100 but get 93 blown by me in HOF.

It’s incredibly hard to hit on hof. I’m terrible at it. I typically just sit sinker up and in, and I wait for that pitch. You know it’s coming eventually.

as it should be, think some of us need to temper expectations and not as good as we think we are!

I agree that it should be, but I think the major problem is how sinkers work in the game. When I get destroyed by crochet I’m fine with it cause they just located well and mixed up well. But the sinker is so glitchy that you have to look for it to hit it and even then it’s tough to read because it moves so unnaturally compared to the 2 seam or circle change that have similar movement

Sinker low and in out of the zone is the new up and in since there is no time to read that it will tail out of the zone and the engine typically doesn’t reward good contact in that location.

Especially righty/righty and lefty/lefty in my experience. All you can do is be late and dink it over the corner infielder cause even if you perfect it, it’ll be foul

they need to change ofline speeds to mimic online so it doesnt feel like a huge jump every time u play ranked vs everything else

HoF is waaaaay better than AS.

Yup it’s really boring nothing but pitching duels. I thought being stuck below 700 sucked but once you’re stuck between 790-825s you’re constantly playing dudes that have already reached World Series and are much better opponents then you and you just go back and forth like a pendulum. Game is not as casual as it used to be that’s for sure.

Listening to people around here and they claim the game caters to casuals more now than it ever did.

I don’t know maybe I’m just getting old and my reaction time can’t keep up after 6 years of playing or I’m not drinking enough gfuel.

Dude I hear you and yes you need to stay on top of the game in order to make WS or go flawless. At the same time, WS and flawless should not be something the average Joe can accomplish. Those are the main rewards and statuses in the game. If anyone can do it then there really isn't much competition. I work 50-60 hours a week and have a family. This game is what the bars and partying used to be. This is my stress relief and fun time. There is so much to do in this game that not everyone should be WS.
Lol I need coffee or a Bang drink before I play
