The last few days I've actually seen some surprising variety in Ranked Seasons. Sure, you're always going to see a heavy dose of Corbin Burnes, Edward Cabrera and Cliff Lee but I've played a guy using the POTM Zack Wheeler (he's better than I thought), Topps Now J.A. Happ (...I don't want to talk about him), FS Michael Kopech and LS Walker Buehler (very underrated).
My current rotation is:
Ace - Vida Blue (Milestone Series)
SP2 - Al Leiter (Milestone Series)
SP3 - Greg Maddux (2nd Half Series)
SP4 - Edward Cabrera (TA 2 - Future Stars)
SP5 - Michael Kopech (Classic Future Stars)Also Own/Use: Tom Glavine, Cliff Lee, Chris Sale, Dylan Cease, Corbin Burnes and Roy Oswalt
I was probably “that” guy
Lee, Oswalt, Wheeler, Pedro, Burnett
Have also used LS Wheeler and Nola quite a bit. I’ll also use Ohtani from time to time (only non Phillie i use)Everyone I face though: Cabrera, Cabrera, Burnes, Priester, Cabrera
42 or AS Pedro? Not seeing much love for his AS, he’s great with 99 FB and that circle change

Online ranked squad I’m using so far. I have way more pitchers than this of course but is what I like to use so far.
Hershiser
N.Ryan
G.Maddux
M.Prior
Cy Young -

AS since it came out. 42 prior. Used to use 42 Sixto too

Are people leaving off Tanana because they don’t have him yet? He’s arguably one of the best cards for me.
He's good but the fact that he throws two different curveballs makes him so limited, in my opinion. I love his sinker and you can make a lot happen with that pretty much by itself, but if your opponent can hit sinkers -- you're in a lot of trouble.

W: A.J. Burnett (11-3, 1.97)
Do not underestimate how good this man is!!!
Cabrera, Crochett, De Grom and Oswalt
The last 2 I change on occasion but De Grom now gone about 25 innings and only gave up 2 ER.
He was in mine until TA2 flooded the game with elite SPs. He's someone I really felt confident with.
Well same. He was my 5th choice at one point but he was kept in and every time I use him he still doesn’t let me down. His 4 seamer now gets to 99mph on occasion and those stats don’t lie! He may end up being in my rotation for a long time.

Currently I have Jenkins, Lee, burnes, Cabrera, and 42 luzardo who has been my best pitcher all year
How is Fergie Jenkins? In past games, I've really liked his delivery, so I'd use him in Conquest and vs. the CPU a bit. This year's card actually looks viable online.
I played one game with him and he went 8 shout-out innings with like 1 hit on hof with quite a few strike outs. I’m interested in why more people are not using him. The slider is absolutely nasty.

Offline only, don't flame me for using CAP:
Oswalt
Lee
deGrom
Darvish (V)
CAPMix in Priester/Crochet
Yea offline only you’re definitely wasting your cap at pitcher for sure. You can use the same pitcher over and over if you want. Why not make some god slugger with 99 speed and use that instead.

Because I want a full lineup of team affinity plate appearances for TA2. Since CAPs aren't tied to any MLB team, I would be wasting a spot by using him as a position player

I'm kind of surprised to see that nobody (could've missed someone though) liked the Postseason Justin Verlander much. I used him in like two games and while he wasn't anything too crazy, I thought he was pretty solid. You do kinda wish he had a sinker, though his 12-6 curve is pretty nasty and his circle-change felt good with his delivery/release. So yeah, I was taken aback that no one seems to really like that card.
Also a bit surprised by the lack of Nolan Ryan (I remember seeing one person had him) and Bob Feller. Personally, I loved the Bob Feller the first few weeks of the game -- which was a pleasant surprise as most years, I hate his cards. Obviously now he's overshadowed by the elite guys like Vida Blue, Al Leiter, Edward Cabrera, Tom Glavine, etc. -- but he's one of the best right-handed SPs in the game, in my opinion.
Curious to know how the All-Star series Tom Seaver is. At first glance, I like his pitch arsenal and he's always been one of the best starters in the game most years when they drop the best variant for him. I just picked him up as I was typing this and now I can give him a run as my #5 starter for a spell.

I use a lot of different Pitchers Currently
Fernando
Degrom
Sale
Bauer
Gibson 42 -
Edward Cabrera
Felix Hernandez
Cliff Lee
Roy Oswalt
Zach WheelerAll are absolute studs and all have ERAs under 2.5 in RS. Felix was my ace since the beginning but Cabrera has passed him up. Dude is by far the best pitcher in the game.
-
i am just lights out right now
cliff lee / corbin / nolan ryan / cabrera / forget my 5th slot
-
Lee
Cabrera
McClanahan
Burnes
Scherzer -
Ace: Cabrera (II) 1.00 ERA 45K in 27 innings, at least 6 perfect innings each start with one being 8.1
Fernando (V) 2.88 ERA 173K in 156.1 innings
Burnes (IV) 2.22 ERa 103K in 113.2 innings
Glavine (II) 2.36 ERA 21K in 19 innings
Lee (II) 4.17 ERA (got shelled in the event) 29K in 41 innings so I may pull him for Preister, Crochet(II), McClanahan(II) or Degrom (IV) -
Jenkins
Leiter
Glavine
Lee
Oswalt -
If you're looking for a good right-handed pitcher that not many folks have seen so far this season, I highly recommend that 92 Tom Seaver. His repertoire of pitches are just about perfect and I don't know what it is -- but he's just fun to use. I've been getting into a nice rhythm with him lately.
I really have got to give SDS a lot of props, they've found a way to make the guys who don't throw all straight heat really fun and effective this year. In years past, I remember if a starter didn't throw 97mph and above -- nobody would even bother. That is no longer the case at all when you see that Tom Glavine, Greg Maddux and Cliff Lee are among the best starting pitchers in the game.

Been looking at him. What’s your stats with him so far?
