Hidden Gem pitchers?
-
I try not to use cards that are on my ranked team in events because I like playing with new cards and I think thats what events are for. That being said I'm really liking this Dallas Keuchel card hes been untouchable in the event against the people I've played. Anyone else have any non "meta" pitchers they like? I want to try out that 95 ovr Maddux card.

I picked up that Keuchel to make his debut in RS probably for my first game of this new season.. hopefully on HOF. Cool to hear you’re having success with him
-
Yeah Kuechel is pretty nice. I feel Oswalt is pretty underrated too compared to his competition of Lee, Cabrera, and Crochet from TA2

Maybe not as much of a hidden gem, but I'm always a big fan of Yu Darvish cards. When LS is playing up on IE, he can be quite dominant if you're good at tunneling pitches.

Everytime I would face the LS Darvish in TA showdown I would poo the bed lol. I could barely touch him.

89 Lester has been good for me

Jesus Luzardo 42 card. First 5 games I pitched with him were all shutouts. And he hasn’t given up many runs since.
-
Haven’t used him in a bit but that Topps now Rodon from early in the year was great for me. Love the delivery. Not sure he’s at all hidden but bringing O’day out of the bullpen sometimes feels like cheating.

Not really a "hidden" gem because he's always been good but I rarely face him the 92 ovr Orel is nasty

I hated facing Dallas Kuechel. Dude is the king of getting my hitters to make weak contact. Faced him through 7 innings and put the ball in play 20/21 ABs and only managed to get 7 hits and 1 run

I'm giving Tom Seaver a run in my rotation today and so far I'm loving the card. His sinker is sneaky good. Another guy I think just about everyone overlooked is that Topps Now Dylan Cease. Not only does he throw gas but his off-speed stuff is pretty filthy -- and a nice bonus, he can rake at the plate, too! Since it's a Topps Now card that celebrates a start he had where he went 3 for 3 at the plate, he has some nice contact and power.
David Robertson's new Prime Series card that came in the base round of the Kitchen Sink pack is also much better than I think anyone probably realizes. I prefer him over 95 Gossage.

42 series Corbin dominates Events for me. Similar to DK Awards.

It's that ridiculous loopy and slow off-speed junk he throws. I can hit Michael Kopech or Jacob deGrom just fine but you put Rich Hill or Patrick Corbin on the mound and I look like someone who has never played The Show before, swinging a big goofy wiffle bat.
