Question
-
Does anyone actually play with some of their favorite players in RS if so who and how did he/they become your favorite player
-
I play with Roy Oswalt alot. It just so happens he's a great card as well. I grew up watching him pitch at the tail end of the killer bs.
Events are usually where I'll stack my lineup with players I actually like over the best available
-
Towards the end of the year I usually make an Expos team with cards from guys that played with them at some point, and fill in the rest with Jays/Brewers and childhood favourites
-
J.R. Richard isn't in the game yet. I do fine with Nolan Ryan though.
I think around 1st or 2nd grade, I wanted a team in the NL to root for when the Yankees weren't playing. Watched JR pitch on Monday night baseball. That was it.
They had the same orange as my Islanders. Around 1979 I think.

Freddie Freeman, after watching that documentary had to get him and hasn’t left my starting lineup since day 1

How is his card this year I have him and haven’t tried yet. Looking for a new pitcher to try out.

Roy Oswalt? He's awesome. He has decent velo, I think 97 4seam and around 94on the sinker. a huge slow 12-6 curve also a slider and changeup. All pitches are 90+ control except the changeup, but that's fine because you will be throwing it in the dirt anyway. He's my favorite pitcher so far. Give him a try. I also hit 2 hr with him lol

Yeah that Oswald is great. Funnily enough his change up is my favorite pitch with him. Tons of vertical movement and an awesome speed differential. Guys that struggle with low pitches swing at it almost every time and look bad doing it.

I am waiting for a Joey Votto MVP card so he can play first all year for me. He was one of the few bright spots in some dark times for us Reds fans

I really respect him for being so open with his emotions and showing the world what his mom meant to him.

I only play with players I like. Running a full Rockies TT this year in RS. Made a rule to myself to stick to it. Got a W with silver Jon Gray to get me into the 700s last season
.
Events are actually when I use other players.
