QOL adjustment for BR program
-
I just saw @KOTANK1334 post about this and was going to post a thread with a possible solution. Thanks for the reminder.
I think we should be guaranteed 1 round with the mission players. Maybe after the diamond selections. This would allow us to at least have 1 mission to work on each run. Then if we happen to get others great but 1 would be a great start.
It also helps if you are not very good at BR and can only win a few games or less each run. Like Chris Davis xbh. Maybe you only get one in your first run. You have a chance to possibly select him again if he comes up and work on that one.
Any thoughts?

Is BR on HoF or other?
-
I'm not opposed to the idea, but these missions are not repeatable. So maybe I'm not your typical player of the general population, but when I draft rookie Chris Davis for example, I finish that mission in that one run where I draft one of the mission players like 9 out of 10 times. So I hear the argument, but there's an entire month to get these stats done, in this case 5 XBH with Chis Davis, and then it's done. If they were repeatable I'd be all for it, but I don't really see the urgency here.
-
We need to make sure these reward cards are still hard to get. We already have watered down rewards this year for WS and BR as it is and that’s reflected in the prices of these cards. I think we went ditch to ditch potentially already as I get the 1M stub gatekeeper was annoying but I kind of preferred that to handouts.

BR is on Allstar (pretty sure).

I understand this point but I've been doing some BR runs almost daily (I'm mediocre at BR probably average 6 wins/run). I've yet to see half of these mission guys. Having a mission round would help get more points to the program which means less time having to play BR and more time to enjoy other parts of the game.
Only one I've finished so far is Vida. I'm 3/4 on Chris Davis. 2/5 for Colome (just got him again last night for another attempt). And I can't hit xbhs with Joyce to save my life (so I need more attempts here). Flowers also is very close to completion.
-
I finished the BR program in a week and like you typically was 6 wins per entry with 1 at 9. Only finished player missions for Vida and Chris Davis and that was fine. Those are bonus points and nice to haves vs need to haves.
Just saying I don’t think we need to make the BR rewards any easier than they are since some of those cards are under $50K already so clearly too many out there.

Ah okay, I'm tend to believe that's just bad luck in terms of those players not showing up. I live in BR and I have Chris Davis show up like 70% of the time. You can also be smart about it and let's say you want that gold Sano or Krush Davis or whoever is in the program right now, just don't draft a 3B/LF until the gold round comes up and there's actually a big chance they'll show.

You have to look at it this way. I would say the majority of people trying to complete the program can't win 3 games. Last BR program I had I had a 9 and 12 game win streak. I got Chris Davis one run and Colome another run. I think I got the Chris on the 12 game so finished that one and only 3 games for the Colome (quit after loss because I didn't like the team and getting K's with Colome was tough to say the least. That means I only completed one player mission throughout the program. It took a while and that was with a 9 and 12 game streak. The majority of people can't do this. You can't think of this in terms of people that can get those streaks but all the others that can't. Many people will get a mission like Davis and may get 1 xbh. They would still need 3 more and there is a good chance you wouldn't see him again in the draft.
I would guess getting 1 point per win with a very rare chance of doing missions would turn a lot of people off. Going into the BR run, they would know they at least will be able to work on a mission guaranteed.

Well it was just my take on it, like I said I'm not opposed to the idea. I just think it wouldn't really change all that much given the fact that these missions aren't repeatable and that you have 1 entire month to finish them.

I probably need to start trying that. The golds definitely don't load for me normally. I've gotten Gold Sano a few times but hes not a mission in this season (naturally). I actually had a few consecutive runs of both Flowers/Joyce but Im not getting good enough results (Think Flowers went like 0 for 15 or something before finally getting a ball to find grass). Joyce I'm hitting like .300 with but 0 xbhs. Davis I've seen a few times as well. But thats not surprising since there are 9 silver rounds so the odds are much higher.

Well that 9 win bonus is essentially 2 free runs (avg 5 wins/run) so that definitely helps to get those. Unless you're doing several runs per day, finishing in a week is probably an over-exaggeration. I'm at like 53 points right now with only Vida and a few of the general stat missions done (the 40 hits still eludes me sadly).
The early BR rewards are also low 90 diamonds that are mediocre in general cards in general so its less of a "too many of them" and more of a "they're not worth that much" thing. The first real test IMO is the value of Leiter/Story in a few weeks after new rewards are out.

They will still be a grind. For the person that can't win 9 or 12 or do the hits, runs, etc missions, it may save them say 5-10 points. That is still 90-95 wins they would need. It also makes the run more fun imo when you have a mission to try to achieve.
Also, I have a ton of cards, collections done and 500k stubs. People going flawless have way more than I do and I am doing fine. This is more an incentive for people that can't do the total missions (9 wins, 12 wins, hits, runs, etc). They would still need to do a ton of work to earn them. Flawless and WS players are not hurting for stubs.

So just did a draft for the new program and 3 of the mission cards appeared in my draft (Sale, Davis and Springer). They also lowered the mission requirements pretty significantly.
Curious if this draft was an anomaly or if others find these cards now easier to draft…..

They drastically reduced the amount needed. 1hr/2xbh/3Ks
-
Yeah. 3Ks with Sale. Pretty sure I can do that….

I haven’t logged in yet for the day, sorry for being lazy, but I read on their announcement page that the program is only 50pts. Did they lower the requirement this time around?

It is in game but the announcement page DOES say 50 points. This must have been a typo.

They lowered all the stat and player missions SO much that 100 points is going to feel like 50………
