This game has a hard-on for double plays

I feel like every time I get a runner on 1B I ground into a double play even if I perfectly square up a 4SFB it just goes right to an infielder

Been like that for years.
Good luck ever turning one against the CPU though.

Its especially bad in showdowns i've noticed. If you get a guy on first, they specifically seem to pitch low in the zone. You either have to just take those pitches or try and put your pci low and get under them

So you mean the game uses the same strategy a MLB pitcher would use in an effort to get the hitter to roll over and hit into a double play?

I'm not saying I'm against it. I just say I notice it in showdown more then other modes on average.

I think it’s great they use that strategy in this game but it gets forced a lot.
Perfect/perfect double plays are a little too common imo lol. Even on balls I’m getting slightly under.

Hit into a perfect perfect double play last night. That was cool. Centerish sinker I think toward low and away.
