I’ve been using SZ for a few years now and on HOF this year I’m either way early or way late. Anyone use a non strike zone camera and had success making WS?

I use strike zone 2. It helps me lay off the low cheese and I like to see more of the batters load up before the swing. Im not ws, but I think I'm 27-9 or somthing, so its not terrible.

I use SZ3 this year. I used SZ2 last year and I'm having more fun watching the animations and stances this year with 3.

I use SZ2 but angle my monitor down a bit. For some reason this helps me see the strike zone top down better - tend to square the ball up better. But I’m just ok too.

Odd man out here. The old school in me refuses to change my Catcher High view (the original view). Not willing to sacrifice game viewing experience as you do with strike zone + I actually do really well with it.

I agree. I think the SZ camera takes away from the immersion of the game but I’ve been “trained” that SZ is the best for hitting. I’m also old (44) so my eyes aren’t what they used to be.

43 here, hence stuck in my old ways...

I used to use strike zone but, I liked actually seeing my batters so I tried a few different ones and zoom worked best for me

I haven't used that offset one. Doesn't it skew the zone a little bit because it's offset? I can't get on tonight but maybe I'll try that tomorrow

I can time up pitches better on SZ, but always end up chasing balls low. I find with SZ High or SZ2 I can pick the low balls better, but I have to speed up my bat, or that's how it seems to me.

before I got a monitor I used 'the show 15' because i felt it gave me time to read the ball, since getting a monitor I use strike zone but i think whatever is comfortable is best but strike zone is just the most consistent.

I use strike zone offset I think and it works well for me. I still suck on hall of fame, but it gets the job done most of the time. It’s also a good pitching view if you want to use it for that too

Never thought about using it for a pitching view. I might try that out.

Nothing but fish eyes here. All those zoom views improve competitiveness sure, but at what cost?

    (Fun. The answer is fun.)

I used Strike Zone High for a while whenever I'm slumping, then go back to Strike Zone. Differs from day to day with which of the two I have more comfort/succes. If I had to play the sweatiest game of all time, I'd use the regular Strike Zone camera because that's what I'm used to the most.

SZ3 seems too far away. I alternate with SZ2 and Offset if I'm chasing Sliders, or if I'm behind a 102 thrower.
I even fool around in practice with batting from the pitcher POV, to spice things up.

    Strike Zone 2

To me it helps me lay off pitches better than other views. I'm close to trying out a new view just to change it up.

I switch from game to game from SZ, SZ High and zoom depending on the way the opponent is pitching. Last resorts are fish eye and offset zoom or offset strike zone.

It helps if you have a bad connection or if there is a pitch that you are having trouble laying off of.
