Apparently throwing offspeed because he can’t lay off, is apparently playing scared. Anyone else been told this? I’m astonished.

It's a quite common phrase for people who get mad that they have no plate discipline, I've been told variations of that multiple times.

Lol, I have the most problems with off speed too. Don't try to over power me with a fastball up though, that bad boy is gonna take a ride!

Seriously and it’s an event game. I’ve played this guy before in ranked(and won) and he hits me with a message saying stop being scared. Okay stop swinging and junk. Just played him an event and sure enough another message saying I’m scared although he won the event with prolly the best check swings you’ll ever see.

Some guys sit Fastball so much you find out a couple innings on they can't hit the off speed or slider... Hammer them with off speed and let them cry.

I’ve been hit with messages saying throw it in the zone; no surprise he swung at curves and changes in the dirt, FBs above his head, sliders 2 feet outside and sinkers that almost hit him

I've never given a F about what a grown man cry baby ever said to me but turning messages off last year was honestly the best gaming decision I ever made.

I’m sure if he laid off and took a few balls then maybe It would force you to throw in to zone more frequently. Logic... hmmm... sometimes people don’t use it.

Yep, I’m not a good hitter by any means but if someone isn’t throwing it in the zone I’ll literally put my controller down and sit back. I won an event game 1-0, I had 1 hit, 9BB in 3 inn

It’s almost astonishing how well some people can hit a FB and literally nothing else. Sometimes I go down early and realize it’s all they can hit. Throw one three innings later, it’s gone again but the mean time they earn nothing else.

To be fair (“to be fair!!!”) swinging at offspeed down or out of the zone is often a bad idea, so looking for fastballs to hit kinda makes sense. That said, I usually tell my opponent to throw a f$&@$ng strike under my breath. Taking the time to actually message him that is quite another thing!

It's really what kills me personally. I can't seem to pick up low pitches as it is, slow only makes it worse. I've pretty much given up online play because of it.
