After reconsideration can’t really call this a glitch as check swings are really a judgement call and kudos to the umpire for checking down at 1st for a second pair of eyes.

Given the umpiring in real MLB these days, this seems legit. This game is getting more realistic every day.

Checkswings are at least way better than last year. OP I think you encountered either lag or a very rare glitch.

Last year I had a ball hit some Mets bullpen pitcher right in the heart, only to teleport to Michael Conforto and not be a homerun

I have a really hard time trusting what I see sometimes, I've been burned too many times!

Welp, there went my theory and experiences! I usually rip a ball to the gap with the bases loaded, advance everyone, then find out the balls as caught. Triple play!
