This happened twice to me in the last couple of days. Opponent will pause the game and will run the clock to 1 second, then he'll request a friendly quit if they're losing. The goal is to get you to click accept making you think the clock expired and you want to accept before they "come back from pausing the game". But if you accept the friendly then the game won't count for either player.

The 2nd player chose not just to try this but to then have a freeze off after the last out. Forcing me to quit since I have better things to do with my life then wait (plus is just an event game of 3 innings). I then tried to block him and report him but it seems he blocked me first so that I did not get a chance to report him. I wish I could post his PSN but I've read if you do that then you get in trouble. However, feel free to look at my game log, the final score was 6-2 and I took the L. Block him so that you don't have to deal with this BS. I can't think of any way to report him now.

The friendly quit thing isn't new. It's the oldest trick in the book unfortunately

I mean to accept a friendly request you have to press square so you can’t just accidentally hit X on it like you do when the time expires. Just have to look out for that and assume every message is a friendly quit. Live and learn. Nothing SDS can do about it.

“There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again.”

You can still report him. Go into your game History via the console and highlight the game. Then select it and select report.

When the opponent's timer runs down to zero, just make sure to take a few seconds to make sure it is a forfeit screen and not an FQ request. This tactic is used a lot, unfortunately, so just be careful.

Yep, happened once to me couple years back, been careful ever since. I’ve had messages from people pissed that I forfeited them when the timer ran out; I mean if you’re going to leave me hanging while you take a dump it’s on you. If something comes up for me, I quit.

What is he going to report him for?

Trying to cheat by getting him to accept a F/Q.

This is one of the reasons I stopped playing online. Nobody can take a loss and it's a 'win at any cost" attitude.
