Easily one of the worst POTM programs to date

Usually the POTM lightning card is something that would benefit even the players who spend the most money.
Semien is "meh" at best. If you completed TA2, Jackie, the AL, or hell April Topps Now Ryan McMahon, you have a better 2nd basemen. Top things off with his horrible swing, and you get a mixed bag of "bad". This isn't a knock so much on the player, but that SDS could have done much more with Semien. I mean, come on, he had a .702 SLG for June and his power is this low? Very disappointed, if you give him 115/100 C 100/110 P with 80 fielding, hes passable.
Regarding the rest of the program, aside from pitching, I don't think anyone else makes even the most basic of rosters. Hell, Jessie Winker is actually worse than his LS version.
Free content, I know, but I feel like SDS held back alot with this one.

With the exception of Wheeler, no one else makes my roster. With the amount of headliners and other cards they released, these cards are useless except for the missions. I said the same thing with this reveal. Even Semien wouldnt start for me.
-
I try not to complain to much about this game, but I agree. I real bag of meh. Even wheeler won't make most rosters because of the ta2 pitchers.
I haven't played dd in years, since before potm programs. After the Buxton program I was expecting another crazy good program. Oh well tho, ta2 was amazing imo
-
100% agree.
The new POTM program structure being free is an awesome thing, but as you stated, this program didn’t even slightly intrigue me. And being a Reds fan, they absolutely did Winker dirty with only an 89
Oh well, is what it is, I got to 98 points, sold off all the Topps now players for a nice chunk of stubs, and the prices of 42 series legends are down now too...silver lining I suppose

I also have pitchers better than Wheeler from finishing TA2 and I also finally finished the MLB Collection after pulling Trout so I have Glavine. But I would try out Wheeler and put him in to see how he is at least. The other cards no

What sucks is the POTM series is a chance for SDS to add to lineup diversity because all of these guys who would never make a “God Squad” with their live series. But many have tons of fans and many of which play this game and would put them in their lineups. This is their chance to really pump up the fan base of baseball and the game but “Oh he botches it!”

I just think its hilarious that a free card from April is better.

Austin Riley won player of the week and he dont get a card? SDS we need third baseman!!
-
the thing that I sorta laughed at is the big POTM bonuses are they get live series quirks yet Semien gets none so he is basically any normal legend/flashback that you either grinded out and wasted stubs like I did hoping it is useful for a lightning collection later or the program is just a bad attempt at reflecting baseball the last month and you move on with your day ignoring it
-
Told y’all we needed Tatis.
-
Yeah this one is bad!
-
I only did it to get the player of the year at the end of the year
-
None make my regular squad, but I’m not complaining. Free cards are free cards and I can always use some for team affinity squads
-
Riley snub
-
Agreed with Winker. I honestly did the program because we will need the cards down the road but Semien doesn’t even make my bench, let alone the secondary guys
-
I’m planning on going up to the 42 pack so 90 points and stopping. Hell I’m even going to sell all the Topps players too. It’s gonna be an easy 100k. I have no desire for Semien

I said the same about Semien and people felt to attacked. Glad some people still look at things objectively.

The 42 packs are imo the real reward here. Market tanked and made them reasonable.

I used the Topps Now packs to get the missing ones i needed for Rivera and then used them towards Semien too. Unlocked the 42 series pack and put buy orders for the rest i needed after which were only 8 and got 99 Jackie
