We go from too many Check Swings in MLB The Show 20, to Cheese Pitching in MLB The Show 21. There needs to be a medium somewhere in between to balance the game. This is not Baseball, it's Cheese. Online that is.

OMG!!!!! I thought I was going crazy. The introduction to pin point pitching allows users to just paint corners all day.

I moved from MLB The Show 19 to 21, I figured somewhere in between they changed the check swings. Causes me much grief. I strike out a lot. Trying to adjust now.

Thank god check swings are fixed. Also the pitching is completely passable. Way better than what we had in 20, it does need a tweak though, but its by far better.

    Yes, it's absolutely pathetic.

The reason check swing had to be changed was because people would initiate a swing and check every single time it was a ball. I agree it needs to be somewhere in the middle but I’d rather it be like this than last year. and also pinpoint needs a tweak, it’s just dumb that you can pitch perfect every time with no penalty ever, if you get it down it’s stupid easy. I don’t mind it, it just needs to be harder or it needs some variance

No problem with what they did to check swings, however now that you can foul off any pitch thrown anywhere, there’s no reason to check swing in the first place.

Cheese pitching? That’s a good one. So locating pitches consistently is cheese?!

    I love it!

Perfect input should result in a pretty well located pitch. I don't have a problem with adjustments to make getting that perfect input more difficult. With pinpoint pitching it seems like they should easily be able to speed up the actions or have non-perfect input result in missing location by a larger amount than it currently does. I would assume they'll do this at some point...they couldn't just make it super difficult right away as this was a brand new feature and there was always going to be a learning curve.
