CAP dilemma
-
I'm going with a short stop cap but can't decide between contact power or balanced. After they put out many more patches, who knows how the game is going to play or what type of hitter the game will favor.
And once you choose you can't go back for whatever position you selected. I don't like that. -
id probably go with power or balanced. having good contact is always a good thing, but so far, having good vision and power seems to be more helpful than having great contact and vision. but yeah, might be a good idea to hold off until the next two or three patches if you have a good shortstop right now

I think the safe bet is to go for Balanced. But maybe hold off for now. But when you Add some diamond equipment to a balanced shortstop he will be a glitch

I made a catcher. First year making a CAP. I roll with an all-time past/present Rockies team and planned on using the catcher CAP until at least a gold option is released. Balanced is OP. Absolute monster hitting, fielding and even speed with the right equipment.
I would say don’t go with power just because defense is important, especially for a shortstop. You can jack your power numbers up with equipment.

I did balanced last year. It is the safe bet but I wanted to do something different this year. And I'm leaning towards power. I'll have a great arm but only gold shield defense.

I went with the balanced and w/ equipment he's an absolute monster. HR every game or two easy and I'm hitting like .450 over 30 games with him maxed. I had the same thought as you. Later in the game with the stud pitchers you'll need the vision. Defensively he's been a wall.

I see... last year I made a power hitting catcher in DD and he was fine. But I wish we could have the option to switch what archetype we could have if we wanted.
