Contact Swing on HOF -- Just do it
-
So after playing approx 7 games in RS on HOF (700+) I can honestly say contact swing is 100% the meta.
Don't get upset about it just do it, who cares if you are pressing X or O to swing, what does it matter? Some years it was power swing was what you wanted to use, in recent years it was normal... This year it is contact. I don't see the issue, just push the button that gives you the best chance at hitting well.
I also think the PCI on HOF is much smaller this year on normal swing, but then again that could just be me comparing my team to now to my end game team... And the fact I think SP releases are ahead of the hitter releases so far so the game is pitching heavy at the moment.
Honestly makes no sense to me why someone would complain about it though, what do you care if you press X or O.

Agreed sir!!
-
Nah, I’ll pass, personally. My main focus is to get better on hall of fame and above and if it gets patched, I want to be ahead. I’ve always contact swung on 0-2 counts in year’s past since it’s almost always a waste pitch.
-
I’m fine with you doing whatever you want but it’s clearly an issue and I want it fixed. Let people strike out.
-
I have a strong feeling they will patch the contact swing glitch soon, and I don’t want to get used to using ir
-
I dunno. I use contact swing and I’ll still striking out a bunch on HOF. However, There are definitely 1-2 abats a game that become 10 pitch abats because of fouls, so maybe make those weak contact plays in fair territory. One more win to get above 800, then the climb to WS begins.

Anybody need anymore proof what a dumpster fire of a game 21 is?

What awful advice. If you can't get better you might as well exploit the little billy rule.

Nah, I stick with my truncated X button
-
Great piece of advice. Instead of encouraging people to get better you just tell people to exploit a broken mechanic. Hopefully they’ll patch it and all of you contact swing bandits strike out 15 times per game

Good, you’ll get ahead of every contact swing bandit when it’s patched. Keep it up!

What's the exploit? How come you don't power swing instead of normal? So everyone needs to normal swing because you arbitrarily decide that's the swing people should use? You have 3 options and 1 of those options works best... In previous years power swing was the meta...
Who are you to decide normal swing is what everyone should use? There's 3 swings for a reason ... Quit belly aching and play the game for what it is.

Best vocabulary word of the day. A+ for you, Blasta!

I don’t mind the contact swing, there is just to many foul balls. Some person had a 20 pitch at bat against me in BR before they finally struck out. They weren’t even close on they pci most of the time. It depleted my pitcher for the entire game and next game.

If you don't think the whole contact swing is overused and overpowered to help the noobs on Xbox and make there be less strikeouts then that's a whole other issue with yourself just not understanding what a contact swing is used for in real life. In the past contact swing was always used for low-power guys like Dee Gordon and Tony Gwynn to get little dump hits over the infielders or up the middle or to use on other hitters when you were in a two-strike count. At no point were contact swings ever The Meta that were hitting 450-foot no doubt bombs. That is literally not what a contact swing is. A contact swing is just to make contact to put the ball in play not to hit the ball over the bleachers at Wrigley. If contact are the new meta then they should make the pci way smaller. On all star hell the pci is two thirds the size if the strike zone. Why can players foul tip a ball in the dirt or even when the pci is nowhere near the ball? Its stupid and takes the skill out of the game. These are reasons this game will never ever be taken seriously as competitive. That and the rng.
