Last night notwithstanding, it's been this way all year before, during, and after Belli's injury despite Betts being the higher diamond. No big deal really, I'm just perplexed by this. It's the same gap (91/90 vs 92/91) as the Yankees top diamonds and they are separated by over 130,000 stubs. And it's not even close currently between Betts and Belli.

Supply, probably more Betts being released in packs vs Bellinger. That’s really all it is. Market value isn’t really dictated by card attributes, but mainly supply.

Also, more people like Bellinger over Betts, so again, supply. They hold the card instead of putting it up for sale.

Bellinger is a lefty, has more power, great fielding, decent speed.

Imo Bellinger has always played better than Betts in this game. Might be why

Oh I agree that Belli plays better than Betts, but in the past I feel like it really had just been about whoever was higher and their "gatekeeper" status since so many people don't even use LS guys in that range. But I have pulled four Betts this year and nothing else so many there are more of him floating around

Probably because Betts overall is being brought up by his defense; his hitting is lower than most high diamond legends

Bellinger in glitchy with a lot of power. Betts is good, but who really wants to use a guy with 70s power? I barely saw Mookie in this recent event. People like using Bellinger more is my guess.

More demand for belly cause of the 4th OF scenario.
not much competition for belly at 1st, but cant use betts at 2nd cause cause youd have Jackie there or Muncy.

Hate to say this, but last year Bellinger was overrated and by the end of the game was only a fringe diamond that can be had for near quick sell price. And it’ll be the same this year, you just have to be patient. He has holes all through his swing and if you can bury the ball inside on him he can’t resist flailing at it. Then he can be had up and outside once he become conscious of the low inside hole in his swing. He never cuts down his swing either which means he’s prone to deep slumps.

Simple popularity fact I think ....
