Go back to cards based on one year and release diamonds later?

So, I like the SS this year but I also enjoy the game changing each year. Would anyone else like it if they went back to cards based off of one season, maybe even just for one year?
I also would like a year where diamonds weren't easy to obtain until later in the year. One of my favorite times of year is the beginning when silvers and golds are relevant. To me, it would be nice if that lasted longer. If they went back to cards based on single seasons, this would be easier to do. For example, maybe rookie Chipper is still a usable card through May, and then by June everyone is mostly golds, maybe with a couple diamonds per team. Then pace it so you get a rash of diamonds in the last couple months of the regular season. They could also go back to having programs based on card types because those cards would be usable longer. Like in 17 when they had rookie programs, breakout programs, etc. Like I said, I like the SS model this year but I think it would be fun to pace it differently for a season. It would also keep the live series relevant for longer.

I hear what you’re saying. Maybe have some events that only allow you to use gold or silver players. Also, keeping the ls players more relevant in gameplay for longer.

Silver rookie Chipper being usable 2 months into a game release?
Didn't we just have many people mad about how long it took to release Griffey, Pujols, Babe Ruth, Chipper etc etc? This would take that issue and turn it up by 100. -
Diamonds being easy to acquire is a good thing. They need to tighten event restrictions to make golds more usable. Silvers and bronzes were never more than investments or for BR use only

I made a thread for this on the last forum, I think we should have a balance of SS, Yearly Statistical, and Juiced Fantasy Cards. Some examples because I've thought about this a lot
-Speed Demon-
Fantasy Category built around speed. Cards with some juiced categories built around having great legs. Final boss would be a 99 overall Rickey Henderson with 99 speed/steal, 100+ contact and 90+ power, and a sub boss could be something like 95 ovr Jonathan Villar or Trea Turner with 95-97 speed, 90+ steal and somewhat juiced batting numbers(Villar would have all mid-high 80s contact/power, similar to his Topps now card, and Turner would be more contact tuned).
-DD Legends-
Similar to the Ultimate team Ghosts set, where cards that were meta defining or otherwise extremely popular in previous games, so DD'18 Chipper Jones as an example. Would have card art of that game and whatnot
-Midseason/Offseason Movers-
Make special, juiced cards for players who are traded for or signed. If it was for MLB 19 it would be cards like Phillies Zack Wheeler/Angels Rendon and Cubs Castellanos/Astros Greinke.They should also definitely do more with what they have now. Release more of each player, so you don't have situations like you did with Mike Schmidt or Albert Pujols (One low Diamond in March, and then a high Diamond in NOVEMBER). Release some notable cards for players throughout the year. Have cards for players on other teams(Mets Rickey, Yankees Reggie, Astros Nolan, Rockies DJ, etc). More cards for every team is good!. Also, stop putting cards for teams with fewer cards as hard to obtain rewards. SS Tulo should not have been a BR reward. If he was a headliner and Slaughter was the reward nobody would bat an eye, but Rockies fans would get that bone thrown their way

One of the things I think made these programs so good, was the fact that they weren't timed. You could pick and choose what to do and when after they were released.
This year felt like being on a hamster wheel, just going round and around. I still haven't got to bosses in at least three programs.
I liked the single season cards as well.

Make live series cards relevant again, Mike Trout just had arguably his best season of his career and signature series Hanley Ramirez is a better hitting card than Trouts live series, please do not go to the EA model, what you had before works.

Agreed. I hate the fact that I can't complete previous innings. I'm offline only so there is no way I'm ever getting to 600 stars in an inning, and I'm a completionist junkie so I'm having withdrawl pains knowing I can't complete them
. I'd love to see them go back to non-timed programs, but I do enjoy the moments instead of having to complete stats using a version of the card.I'm also a bigger fan of single season cards over the signature series or finest sets.
