Not to this degree; when I got them in the past I would be pleasantly surprised; I think they need to tone down either the easiness of P/P with it or how hard you can make contact. It should be a fluke, not an exploit. It’s no way game-breaking mind you, but it should allow you to stay alive and get a ball through a hole or over the infield.

I’m not sure. I noticed in the past that certain players could homer with contact swing, like Trout or Griffey Jr.

The thing that concerns me most about all the crying about contact swings in this forum is the potential for gameplay to get worse.

SDS tends to address these large scale complaints from the community in ways that have far reaching impact.

Granted, I haven’t played tons of ranked this year. I’ve only played 8 games, but I’ve played 72 BR games. I find the gameplay to be pretty good so far.

I can’t imagine any change that would “FIX CONTACT SWINGS” that wouldn’t radically impact gameplay, most likely for the worse.

I'm gonna give SDS enough credit to think they can alter contact swings without messing with normal swings.

I just don’t have that confidence.

I think there is just a lot of focus on one perceived negative outcome, the contact swing home run.

I don’t see anyone complaining about how their opponent’s contact swing hit into a double play, which is why I sometimes avoid using it with two strikes.

I did contact only swing for two games and still had three homers. I don’t use it a lot bc I get so many fly outs

No that was his normal swing.

look the awful fact is it exists and a lot of the TA2 guys have 125 contact to go along with it. Do I get annoyed when I see home runs that were contact swings? Of course. But nothing is worse than having the 45 pitch first inning where I only gave up single because of constant foul balls

I still like to know how you can tell the size of your opponent's PCI.

They've (SDS) has already said in the past that is incorrect. That's why it's so huge. It doesn't move on your end so you can't see if they're sitting in a certain part of the zone.

do you even play online games???? the P.C.I. absolutely moves and its wicked obvious to tell by the size of it if your opponent is using contact, normal, or power swing. If you play this game online and dont think there is an overpowered contact swing this year then you are either delusional or you are in denial because you use it and scared its gonna get fixed.

I thought the size of someone's PCI was based on their vision and their opponent's pitcher's attributes; not by whether or not the gutter presses X, Square, or whatever buttons they press on the Xbox controller?

Typical answer. If someone doesn't think it's an issue, it's because they abuse it. Well, not that it matters, but I haven't played ONE Ranked game all year. I've played some BR and some Events and very minimal at that.

And if we're going to start throwing out accusations about how people play; then can I accuse you of being the reason SDS no lingers allows people to view their opponent's W/L record on this site; because you probably would come on here and say something to the extent that 'your batting average is a joke and you suck at the game so your opinion doesn't matter'?

Nit everyone okays this game to get self validation and an ego boost from a video game record that doesn't mean jack [censored] in real life. Some play just to have fun.

If they have fun 'contact swinging', then let them contact swing. If they have fun using Directional hitting, then let them have fun. If they have fun playing strictly offline, then let them have fun.

Just because someone doesn't play the way YOU play doesn't mean they're inferior or trying to chest.

wow.... 3 responses to my comment. i wasnt trying to hurt anybodys feelings. i just wanted to point out you were wrong about your SDS says pci doesnt register on the other end.... because it does. I dont care that you or anybody else uses contact swing.... i dont, but you play how you want to... i just play for fun and im not even good at the game.
