Why does R2 bother everyone - Being serious
-
When someone starts R2’ing me I just wait until the symbol goes away & then start my pitch. Sure it adds a few seconds to each pitch & is annoying but I wouldn’t say it ever affected my performance. I just don’t get the outrage - Am I missing something?
-
It doesn’t bother me too much because like you said, you just wait. But I just hope others don’t get frustrated with me because I look at pitches a lot and look at the confidence my opponents pitcher has with each pitch. I don’t hold it very long, just a quick flash to see the pitchers repertoire. It tells you a lot

I don’t care at all , people do it to me allday and it just whatever. It’s baseball, gonna take some time anyways, r2 away
-
It’s annoying bc R2 provides critical feedback but it shouldn’t be tied to slowing down the other person
-
I don't care if people hold it down the same way before every pitch to slow things down. But the majority is timing your rhythm to mess up your pinpoint, hoping for a cookie. Big difference.

Maybe that’s it - Pinpoint users. I use analog pitching so it doesn’t affect me at all.

Whatever it is you use, the idea behind it is that they're trying to sabotage you and that's why people have issues with this.

If they want to leave it in, it shouldn’t pause your pitcher. Do a quick glance or look longer at your own risk

This right here is actually the best solution.

If your opponent uses R2 when you are in the middle of pitching analog, it will impact your outcome. If your opponent is actively trying to use R2 as an exploit, it can impact analog pitching as well.

Pinpoint pitching and R2 are like oil and water

It only makes me angry when the guy times his R2 with the start of my pitching motion and screw me up ,otherwise it doesn’t bother me. It gives me a few seconds to relax my thumbs and draw the pattern better.
Also, I noticed that if I’m going to fast between pitches and my opponent press the button, if I slow down a bit they usually don’t do spam it anymore
