Its not the "main" way to get affinity points. The means of getting affinity points are almost exactly the same as last year PLUS the ADDITIONAL option of being able to do it faster with Showdown.

Game is less than a week old. More moments for program stars will arrive. Do you really think anyone will get to 1000 with the current content? Be reasonable.

Not true. Many ways to work around it, most people are just lazy or impatient. Or both.

It is the fast way for TA, but yes it is not the only way. I hate it and refuse to play it anymore, so I have to take the long way to get the TA,

Affinity, I'd agree. But I have 462 stars and I still haven't finished that dumb 1st inning showdown.

I despise playing against the CPU and I must say, playing Showdown (despite its issues) is still way better than online play. I will have a decent number of team affinity players before I touch RS.

I don't have the patience. I hated moments last year, I hate them as well as showdown this year. I don't play them aside from the mind numbingly easy ones for the free program stars. Basically anything longer than a half inning is a pass from me

You can load up with dudes from the squad you actually have an affinity for and just play games. It’s your greed for wanting every affinity card that is making you play showdown
