Iโm still in a freeze off in mlb the show 19 on one of my PS4s.

In mlb 17 I kept a BR game on overnight and through my 8-4 shift the next day. It was for a 9th win flashback Brandon Phillips

Last year I was in a freeze off and it was gonna be my last game before leaving for Ocean City, a vacation spot here in MD well it was the 6th inning I was up 5-4 and it froze so I left it on and I forgot about it and Iโm on the boardwalk 2 days later and I get a message notification on my PlayStation app, dude messaged me โdo you not have a lifeโ and then it clicks and I reply back โdude I totally forgot about you, Iโm on vacation and Iโll be on vacation for 4 more daysโ I came home to a screen saying I won. Some people have no idea what the other person is doing on the other side of the controller.

If he was waiting how could he accuse you of not having a life?

No clue, all I know is I was walking along the boardwalk taking my kids into the arcade (this might actually have been 19 because shops were all closed last year) and I get a message and I just laughed to myself and told him itโs his couple of days, do what he wants with them

Longest Iโve waited was around 2 hours. I waited about an hour and a half, had to go to softball so luckily for me it was the last game of the day. I just left it on and went to my DH, came back 3-4 hours later and i had won it.

Credit to you; if I'm ever stuck in one, I'll quit. My time is too precious to me for a win in a video game that won't impress my wife, my son, my boss or my family. OK, maybe my son but he's 10.

I think the bigger issue here is that any kind of freeze off is not an organic occurrence. It is man made and intentionally created by your opponent every single time.
There are times when the game freezes momentarily, but then you get that lost connection with your opponent message on the screen, and more times than not that means your opponent has shut down the game and you get the win.
But if you ever find yourself in one of those aforementioned freeze offs, chances are your opponent will wait forever until you give in because thatโs how he gets his wins. And he almost certainly has another PS5 that heโs playing on while you wait. Itโs sad but true. Maybe someday something will actually be done about that.
