2nd Inning Boss Selection?

I only play offline. With that said, who's the best pick? Seems like everyone is saying Lee Smith. But pitching in offline vs CPU isn't that difficult.
2nd choice would be Mattingly, but his #'s aren't good vs lefties.
Last choice I think is Bay....just because there are an abundance of outfield options.
What are your thoughts for someone who ONLY plays OFFLINE vs CPU?

Didn't need Smith....didn't want Mattingly. So Bay for me.

This would seem to be your move. Dont want to pick and have them do what happened in the last inning; one card at 100, the others at 30

I play offline only and Smith has been lights-out for me. I feel like there are enough options at 1B that I didn't need Mattingly, and I wasn't a big fan of Bay's swing when using him in Showdowns.

This is probably the answer. If you just want to go ahead and pick one to use for fun now, you might go with Bay or Mattingley because as you said it seems like everyone is going with Lee which means there will be more of him in circulation meaning lower prices theoretically.

I took Smith because I am a Cardinals fan but in all honesty I am using the Wainwright reliever as my closer. Oh, and I also only play offline.

Smith has been near unhittable up to HOF mode for me. I bought Bay/Mattingly but rarely use them. More than comfortable with LS Soto in left and left/right combos at 1B
