You can freeze the game....literally if u spam throwing in the dirt or spam checking a runner at a base it can freeze...just spamming something for a animation can freeze it..besides the people that know other ways of doing it but wont admit

They took out spamming the throw to first/step off last year; after 3 throws to first you have to pitch (online only)

Actually there are several things a player can do to increase the odds of a freeze off. If a guy is spamming sinkers into the dirt regardless of what the count is and then uses his catcher to dive back toward the backstop, you can bet that player is trying to force a freeze off.

They took out spamming the throw to first/step off last year; after 3 throws to first you have to pitch (online only)
If a player extends his lead while on base you can literally throw to that base in an attempt to pick them off as many times as you like. It’s only when your opponent doesn’t extend their lead that you can only throw over three times.

Yeah you can totally eliminate a players running game by throwing over often. Doing this will increase the likelihood of them getting a bad jump. That’s all provided that when they do steal you get a good catcher animation to throw on.

I usually do; if they extend their lead I'll throw over. PO some people with that over the years, but hey if you extend 40 straight times, I'll throw 40 straight times (or step off).
The limitation came back to me yesterday when playing an event, and the guy sporting his WS banner would spam bunt the first pitch of every AB and every pitch with runners on. Every time he would do this I'd throw to first, but then I couldn't.

I hate it. there is no faster way to end a BR run than your opponent freezing the game because you get a base hit.

I don’t play BR, but it really frustrates me when people do this.

If I am getting outplayed when it freezes I will wait 5 minutes before quitting. If I have something else to distract me I can wait it out.

Yea we’ve all been there. Always amazes me the lengths some of these guys will go to steal a cheap win.
