All-star DD is the worst

Sounds like you just played a goon or you need to work on pitching. Whether it’s being predictable or leaving too many fat pitches. I don’t care what difficulty it is, you shouldn’t be allowing 20 runs unless you’re using bronze/commons
-
I haven't had to much time to play this year vs last year, so most of my ranked games are on all-star. I have a 3.12 ERA and a 0.93 WHIP
-
I have an ERA around 1 and mainly on All Star as well as I just don’t enjoy RS so stopped at 694 in first season and only played 3 games this season. 18-0 so I know I can play higher up I just don’t enjoy RS so why bother when I can just buy the cards pretty cheap and play BR/Events.

I feel like any WS player will regularly put up 15 on AS. Id almost go as far to say if don’t score 10+ on AS it’s a bad game and probably going to be a L for me against an even match up. You can put up 10 like this guy and still be in Mercy rule territory which is crazy.

Never know how a game on All-star is going to go, but usually pitchers are useless and it’s a home run derby. Every once in a while it plays like HOF and it’s tough to score no matter how good your timing and contact is. But most of the time it plays like Rookie and it’s just a slug fest. Just lost 20-10 while giving up 20 hits and 9 home runs, including an 8 run 7th to end the game! If the mercy rule didn’t kick in who knows I could have won or lost 30-29. This game is so unplayable, we should be able to play on the difficulty we want to actually enjoy the game
Thats why its known as All Star purgatory/hell depending on how your season is going at the time.

All Star has been purgatory for me since 2019 lol.

Don’t know for sure but I believe you can choose your difficultly in casual mode.

Era still around 1.00 after 20 games. Most on All-Star, handful on HOF

That’s funny. Most of my games feel like they’re on hall of fame and a only a couple felt like home run derby. I think it just has to do with your connection with your opponent. Those few homerun derby games played so smoothly, pitch speeds were slower. I could actually sit back and react instead of gearing up for the fastball. I wish I could play more games like that.

To suggest that it's unplayable is a dramatic over-exaggeration. You got beat. Move along.

Ive been sitting basically 500-600s this year so far. Most games that have gone the full 9 have been normal/low scoring. Anytime there is anything that looks like an offensive outburst, the other guy seems to quit (I try to play mine to completion or make you earn that mercy for the most part).
My biggest complaint with allstar is with how easy it is to foul tip a pitch. The number of times I got my opponent so off balance and swinging "Very early" and they get a piece of the ball a foot or more off the plate is stupidly high. This is almost always followed by a very late bloop hit or something (this part would annoy me a lot less if it wasn't for the undeserved AB extensions).

All star is just trash. Everything is a homerun.

Eh youre not wrong. It seems to be HRs on questionable PCI placement and decent timing and lazy flyballs with no exit velo on good timing/PCI placement.
Not just an AS issue, its a general game issue - Perfect/Perfect not withstanding -- you're still better (just like last year) to be slightly off on the PCI with early timing than having a center-ish PCI with good timing.

Just played a game where my opponent hit a homerun with Ricky Henderson on the first pitch.
Then he hit back to back to back on 3 pitches outside of the zone w just okay PCI placement. I’m between those I hit a perfect perfect groundout with 2 guys on with steve Finely. Dash boarded and won’t be touching “Russian Roullete Ranked seasons” for a while. Not worth the time at all!
-
My opponent just hit a HR with Jimmy Rollins and his 46 power on a ball down and in.
Fix your game SDStink
-
Rollins hit 231 career home runs. I bet one or two of those was on a pitch down and in.

People routinely put up 6-8 in BR. That's 3 less innings with not nearly as stacked a lineup. That's just the way All-star is if you have players who can hit on HOF or Legend.

BR is often with pitchers who are silver/bronze. And the silver and bronze batters people have are very viable compared to mediocre pitching. I’d take a full silver batting lineup over a full silver rotation/pen any day of the week. All I know is I’ve never allowed 20 runs on any difficulty. I’ve played guys who hit everything even close to the zone and still managed to not allow 20 freaking runs. Maybe people should take some accountability when they lose instead of making threads blaming the game.
It’s actually 6 less innings by the way.
-
It was supposed to say 3 or less lol, still. People put up 6 spots all the time, it the PCI size on all star. Players who can hit half way decent on HOF that got demoted back to all-star are going to CRUSH the ball on all star plain and simple.
