People that upper/undercut you by 1 stub are the type of people to wear a mask alone in their car.

So you’re telling me to spend more stubs than I have to?

Also I don’t even wear my mask in restaurants or grocery stores anymore, soooo your quip is not accurate...

Undercutting by 1 is the proper way. Stops the market tank. Just wait in line and they all go.

Seriously at least upper or undercut by 5, otherwise I'm just gonna keep driving the price up and make you look stupid

Now that you've complained you can get back to real life. One? Five? What does it matter? Your item is going to sell. Just not instantly like you want. You just need to get used to it.

As someone who heavily worked the market for the last four years, let me give you a couple of little tidbits. First, the card is going to buy or sell irregardless, by someone. Knowing that, it doesn't matter what you are trying to sell or buy the card for, as someone will complete the transaction. Bidding more than one more or less is senseless, as again someone will complete the transaction for whatever is there. What's important is that it's your buy or sell that is there, when that transaction takes place. Change your offer or drop back as needed, to maximize your opportunity at completing the transaction.

all great points except irregardless means you actually have regard.

The fact you think that actually is a concern "makes you look stupid"

EDIT Hypothetically thinking here..... is there a way to see or follow certain individuals buy/sell orders?

dude I wish there was a way to follow peoples orders. there are some people that would be getting flamed regularly

I rather get undercut by 1, than by hundreds or thousands. Then we all lose stubs. Just be patient, your card will sell and your buy order will fill.

    Ding ding ding.

+/-1 protects a market. +/- hundreds and thousands absolutely kills a market for EVERYONE.

its amazing how idiots dont realize this and their excuse is they dont want to wait 3 minutes

It’s tough to stack up a hundred topps now while going one stub at a time all day. I come in get my cards, then offload them for 7-10x I don’t care about the .1% on the hundred extra stubs.

I’d rather 100 topps now at +100-500 of the “market” with massive returns than to sit there all day one stubbing and end up with 30-40 because I got bored. That’s like losing 500,000 stubs over 50,000 in bids.

Yeah... do you understand that the whole market working thing relies on margin? Think about it, if 10 people are flipping the same card (say a silver selling for 250 with a bid of 110 on it) and all ten undercut/over by 5...everyone would lose stubs... terrible, terrible take.

At this point I'm going out of my way with single stub shots.

Instead of +/-1, go by at least +/-5? That's hilarious.

I usually go by 250-1000 at least in an attempt to either get rid or acquire a card much quicker.

Otherwise, you're gonna just be nickel and diming with other people going back and forth even in increments of 5 just wasting your time. LOL

It's not really wasting your time if you do it right. Put in your buy/sell orders and go play a game or 2. Most if not all should be done. Even with +/- 1 increments.

I over and undercut you by 1 every time, and wear a mask all day long. Sorry for your loss.

People who complain about other people's market behavior are the type of people who yell fraud everytime they lose.

That is actually not true. So many people are buying and selling that it doesn't matter 1 or 5 or 50. It is going to sell fast. This is a non-issue except it can be frustrating when you try to buy 50 cards and someone outbids your by 1, but the thing is that card is going to sell too! Don't sweat it.

you dont even need to play a game. most orders fill in a couple minutes. In years past this was maybe true but with so many people playing now with xbox, cards fly off the market
