Eduardo Escobar moment broken

I’ve just spent the last 2 1/2 hours playing the Escobar moment & still haven’t completed it. I restart until I hit a homer in the 1st...Then it just gets weird. Every perfect/perfect is a lineout or the pitcher just walks me on 4 or 5 pitches every at bat. I’m a descent player - 80-40 record in RS yet I have been sitting here for 2 1/2 hours wasting away my Saturday morning on this rookie difficulty moment. So fine SDS, I’ll just stop for the day & go play COD for double xp weekend. You win.

I think you just swing at all strikes. Don’t wait for the perfect pitch. Also don’t restart if u don’t hit a homer. I got a single in the first for mine then a lucky triple. Then I got a homer. Just be aggressive and take all the bases u can get

The ones with 8 total bases required are the definitively the most annoying. I think it took me 30ish minutes but it felt a lot longer. Not being able to get pitches to drive it for sure annoying

I sat low with zone and power swung only, to clear this. Also yes restart until you homer 1st at bat does help. On rookie something is broken with exit velocity so you have to power swing to keep from hitting warning track hits.

I dont mind it when its 1 HR... issue is when u need 8 total bases which usually takes 2 homers

The Gavin Lux moment took me like 30 minutes cause all I hit were doubles with him. I hated that Escobar moment as well.

Not broken brother. Took me 3 times. I started 0-2 btw. You don't have to quit after that 1st AB IMO.

id like to do an experiment with a large group of similarly skilled players with a moment like this just to see how wildly inconsistent the A.I for this game is. I've seen people talk about getting walked in moments like this or getting HBP to then see people respond they did it first try. i think it would be nice to see that graphed so everyone could see how this game works under the surface more clearly.

Switch to directional. Use the analog stick up and on the pull side, wait for a pitch down the middle and power swing. Only time I use directional is on moments. Makes them so easy.

Same . Both times Stallings hit a gapper to drive in both. 2nd time Polanco launched a HR to seal it.

when it's happening to me I just take a break play other mode for one game and usually got it the first time after ... Like Plesac comment "somebody getting frustrated" it's the only accurate comment in the game ... I suck when I'm mad !!!

This one was funny cause I saw his power and thought oh no this won’t be fun. 1AB, pulled an inside cutter down the line that hit the foul pole. That was that lol

I always restart those if I don’t have at least a HR in the first 2 ABs, because after that the odds just keep on dropping. I need 1 for 2, then a fluke one in the other 2 ABs. If you’re 0 for 2 you’re just wasting time waiting on a prayer.

I swear if Joe Ross could throw a strike. He's hit me 4 times now.
And of course as soon as i post this he throws strikes and i get 9 bases lol. Every time
