You shouldn't be able to hit any homeruns with contact swing period. No one is complaining about contact swings being bloopers. That happens. You shouldn't be able to hit a 107 MPH liner with contact swing

You shouldn't be able to hit any homeruns with contact swing period. No one is complaining about contact swings being bloopers. That happens. You shouldn't be able to hit a 107 MPH liner with contact swing
Why do you think that? you don't hit 107 mph exit velos unless you perfect/perfect them and you most certainly should hit those. Again you think exit velos are better or the same as normal swing because people are actually using contact swing but they aren't. Do you think tony gwyn and those types didn't hit 107 mph balls at people?

Contact hitter does not equal contact swings. Contact swings were intended for fighting off pitches with 2 strikes, not the main method of hitting. If you really don't believe contact swings are broken you haven't played enough online to realize they are

I play all the time and tested it last year. It is the exact same except the perfect perfect window is bigger for some reason. You do not get the exact same exit velos or even close to relative exit velos to normal swings. The difference is more people are using it and making contact when they would have struck out. That is why you don't like it. And no contact swings were just used to foul off pitches. That was not the intent of them.

I concur. Don’t even care about the exit velocity thing. It’s the exit velocity thing plus foul offs/check swings that makes it ruin the game. A foot below the zone very early - foul. A foot inside the zone, very late - foul. Foul foul foul foul. It need to be fixed to make online become any sort of desirable to play.

I've been hitting HRs with Contact swing since I started play online in 17. I am not playing this year so I don't know if it is easier this year or not, maybe it's because of all the new XBOX players, using Contact more. But the fact is you've always been able to hit HRs with Contact. Which means this isn't likely to change.

Whatever you say man. From my experience people are using contact swings on every pitch of the game. Contact and power swings should have advantages and disadvantages compared to the normal swing. Power swing works fine. Contact swings have no disadvantages and a massive advantage right now. I'm not seeing lower exit velocity on contact swing compared to normal. It's not the same as last year. Not even close. And the fact that SDS said on their last stream that contact swings are a problem backs up my points even more

For the record I don't think I have ever used contact swing. It just feels so unnatural having my hand JUST a little up and to the right for some reason to me.

You obviously don't understand the swing types in the game. I'll slow this down for you. The way it has always worked in MLB The Show is there are three swing types Contact, Normal, and Power. Contact swing boosts the PCI size but reduces exit velocity. Normal swing maintains the same PCI size and has no exit velocity boost. Power swing will reduce the PCI size but provide a boost to exit velocity.
For some reason contact swings are producing the same exit velocities as normal and power swings. This is a problem because there is the increased PCI size still for contact swing. The existence of the contact swing is to represent a hitting shortening their swing to improve chances of contact, but sacraficing power since he's not swinging as hard. It's created an imbalance between the three swing types, and people are using contact swing in an unintended manner getting unintended results.
I'll play along with your completely irrelevant Tony Gwynn example. If Tony Gwynn was making a normal swing or swinging out of his shoes he could hit a ball 107mph. If he was making a contact swing he would never hit a ball 107mph.
