Degrom

Really curious to see if someone has had good results pitching with this card. I have never been a huge fan of his pitch selection in the game and I want to use degrom and get better. Has anyone had success with this card? I notice he does not have much break on his pitches as well.
-
I dont like his release point very much - however that is a benefit because of his slider which cuts a lot across a RHB
His ERA is 3.00 for me from 3 games on ranked.
-
Gotta work his off speed stuff w the occasional fastball for 3rd strikes
-
Not a online player personally, but watching YT/streams, no one really likes him online, and he is always getting hit around.
-
His fastball is super straight and I guess easy to pick up on release. Great if you grind solos,, not so good for online.. This Degrom is not the TA Degrom from last year that was lights out.
-
DeGrom and Cole are both easy to pick up on I find... I don't use them simply because I always crush them.

It is a shame that a $100 card is practically useless in this game. I just bought him over the week while at work. I'll give him a couple of starts to see how he does this weekend. I would love for SDS to add Outlier on his fastball and maybe some more break on his slider and curve.

Him and pre-TJ Verlander were the biggest cases to convince me that there needs to be two "tiers" of outlier. The first, for guys like these two, would allow pitches to reach that 102 threshold occasionally, but they wouldn't sit there all game. The second, for the Chapmans and Jordan Hicks of the world, would sit at 102 and occasionally allow a jump into the 103 neighborhood.

He’s booty
-
I second the OP here, not a lot of success with his card.....I packed him at the beginning but ended up selling him after a few tries, also his price rocketed so.....
-
Only used him once but he had about 13 K's in 6 innings but got knocked around a bit.
-
He’s been great for me. He’s around 80 innings pitched with around a 3 ERA for me and has a record of like 23-1 (event wins in there too)
The biggest key to pitching with him for me is everybody is expecting the 102, but I probably throw 60-70% sliders with him and I’ll throw in changeups in fastball counts to get them out front. Every once in awhile I’ll throw in the fastball unless the guy just can’t hit it then I’ll keep throwing it -
degrom against me for some reason has always been easy to hit, though I used his finest last year with decent results especiallyy by then everyone is a 99
-
I like using him bc he can hit well as well. I have struggled with him. About 70 innings and mid 5 era. The first 5 innings usually are solid then he gets rocked. But I Am hitting .250 with him

Best card in the game in World series. 0.69 era

No joke, he’s my worst pitcher. Couldn’t even use him in the events. He can’t go an inning without giving up multiple dongs.
-
Those people who aren't good with DeGrom are doing it wrong. I almost had a perfect game with him in my first game a pitched a 1 hitter in the next game. He is a dominant top 3 pitcher right now if you know how to use him.
-
Degrom is easily my best pitcher in this game. 5-2, 1.26 era online. I only played on Allstar last season. Made it to the 700’s in my last game with Degrom on the mound.
-
I have been hit or miss with him. He either doesn't make it out of the 2nd inning or goes 7-8 shutout.
