Away team input lag/pinpoint pitching

I literally cant even start my downwards motion of the pinpoint meter when Im the away team. The game just rules the mechanic as being botched and the ball goes anywhere it wants. This HAS to be addressed. I have clips of 6 consecutive pitches doing this without any input fault of my own.
