The hawk is the best in my opinion. And you have to get all your attributes to 50
So are you saying you have to play rtts, because I'm not going to do that. If so, this was very poorly thought out by SDS.
yupyeah bit it isn't bad. Set it up so all you do is hit. Skip fielding and running. I play a bit here and there when I'm not doing something or only have like 20 min to play. You can get so much XP its silly and you're ranking up one of the best cards in the game. Just do it here and there and it isn't bad
It's bad enough being forced to do moments. I don't do showdown, so I am completing ta's by accumulating innings, which moments are a total loss for. Now if I want to max my cap I have to play a completely different mode, another total loss of innings. I already feel like moments are a total loss of time; no innings, no stats, and no pxp. Rtts is just more of the same loss. I play a lot, but [censored], there's only so much time you can give to this game as there are other things in life. I know it's my problem, but SDS really [censored] up on this one.
There’s a sim glitch with RTTS where you can complete an entire archetype in like 2 hours.
They need to seriously take a stand on this and ban/clean peoples accounts doing this.
I am not sure why though. People keep saying glitch, but i dont see the glitch. You just sim through RTTS to progress your player. IDK if they really wanted people to play out all those games it would take. Would be a waste of time. If the game is designed to work this way it cannot be a glitch.

There seems to be several people that are surprised and/or upset that you have to play and grind in RTTS to get your CAP player maxed when you created him in RTTS and are being allowed to put him in DD this year as well as a bonus....
The first clue should have been he's a created RTTS player! lol.Dude. I never created my player in rtts, nor have I for the last five years. Know what you're talking about before you start to laugh at someone else.

I was pretty hesitant too to sink my time into RTTS but i will admit it has helped me tremendously with finishing the first inning xp path and making A LOT of stubs. By the time I had my guy up to all 50s and had 2 diamond archetypes, I had easily made 500k xp and 500k or more stubs just from RTTS. I rhink its amazing if you have a little extra rime here and there and wanna do some mindless grinding
So you can just sim? Why to 50? Why not higher, or is that the max?

Your right they probably designed 650k xp inning programs so people could just sit there and sim through rtts to get through it, and get through all the diamond perks while doing it. If that was somebody’s idea they probably shouldn’t have a job any longer.
Also I don’t know how long it takes to get through a player but I don’t see it taking more than a couple of days to maybe a week to max him out of close to it. For one of the best players in the game and totally customizable I don’t see that as too long of a grind.

If you skip fielding, do the putouts and assists still compile? I don't mind hitting but it if doesn't track the putouts it'll take forever to level up.
Yes they do. You can progress pretty quickly. And the XP and rewards through the programs and stuff is a ton. Def worth it when you are bored or looking to grind a bit.
In RTTS, make your ballplayer a C or 1B since they will get the majority of the putouts within a game.
That's really bad advice.
I’ll play along. Care to explain why?
ok so it's not that bad lol. Maybe I shouldn't have said it like that.. I guess the way I took the OP is he is looking to get his SS up to 50s and possibly even change to hawk. And also not looking to grind forever in RTTS. If you're just batting, you will almost always finish the putouts and assists without doing any for the program. If not you can always do a repeatable hitting one quick to make up for it. In my eyes, making a first baseman would be pointless in the long run for him. Maybe not though.
If you’re turning off fielding moments anyway, why not play a position that maximizes the opportunities at putouts and/or assists? The grind doesn’t take any longer. Just because your ballplayer is a catcher or first baseman in RTTS, doesn’t mean they stay there in DD. Personally, I stick with the catcher because a putout with every strikeout or possibly an assist on drop third strikes add up quickly in addition to those batting opportunities.
Fair enough. I stuck to my SS. I was focused on completing the program along with ranking up my ballplayer. I was talking more of completing the program that goes along with the archetype. I like all those sweet rewards lol. I guess I didn't understand how you would complete the hawk using a 1b or C.

No I just sim in between at bats. I never did the glitch. I enjoy playing it. You get a lot of ABs and it has helped me alot. I skipped MLBTS 20 so I was coming in new again. 50 is the max you can get your ballplayer in any attribute. (Contact, power, etc) So once you get most or all to 50, your player will technically be the highest it can in that attribute without equipment or perks.

I forgot to mention that you can also set any teams stadium to whatever you want. I took the time to turn all the AL stadiums (I am on the Yankees) into my created stadium and hit absolute nukes all season lol. It makes a big difference using one of those over the MLB parks. Just a small tip

Well, now that I've gotten over my pissiness at cap being locked behind rtts, I've decided to do it. I love my cap, and can't see playing the year without him.
However, being as I've never played rtts I'm not quite sure what to do. It appears I can't just sim the games from the start, although if I select to play the game, I can just sim it after the game loads. This allows me to accumulate stats needed for cap, and to build his attributes (although it may be his attributes also tally for just pure sim from the start). Is this accurate? Is there a more efficient way to max out his required rtts stats?
Thanks for your and any help.

I'm not real sure about the simming. I have mine set up so I only bat. So after my at bat there is a small prompt on the left side of the screen that says sim to next appearance pr something like that. When I play, it just takes me right to my next at bat. No extra simming needed. What you're talking about is the glitch they patched I believe

I have mechanical man maxed out and with Power III, Power VII, Fielding VI, and Power I. The following stats at shortstop are are 96 contact from both sides, 119 power from both sides, 87 vision, 99 fielding, 78 arm, 99 reaction, 81 speed and 76 steal. You have to make sure you get all of your stats in RTTS to 50 overall
Ok...So I completed the RTTS to 100% also & that brought me up to Mid-90’s contact & power both sides, 91 vision, 99 fielding, 70 arm & 59 speed...I’ve got to be missing something else for the mechanical man to reach...
Equipment? Cause I’m still in bronze whatever and my guy got 90 power and like 85 contact.

I know it's my problem, but SDS really [censored] up on this onethiI
No I just sim in between at bats. I never did the glitch. I enjoy playing it. You get a lot of ABs and it has helped me alot. I skipped MLBTS 20 so I was coming in new again. 50 is the max you can get your ballplayer in any attribute. (Contact, power, etc) So once you get most or all to 50, your player will technically be the highest it can in that attribute without equipment or perks.
Do you have to run bases? How do I set this up? Lol

No baserunning either. It will be in your setting on RTTS. I believe it is listed as fielding opportunities and base running opportunities. Set rhose both to none. Ill get on in a few and double check for you, but I'm pretty sure thats all you need to do
