Players are not accurately rated

I am a Red Sox fan, I love franchise mode (aside from the budget/salary cap, this needs work). When I started up franchise mode, I was baffled with how low Bogaerts and Devers were rated. Xander has been the best SS in baseball this year. It’s 1/4 of the way through the season and he still has the same garbage rating of 82 he had to start the year. I mean honestly, Correa is rated an 87, Bogaerts is way better than him. You have Tommy Edman and Nick Ahmed rated an 81, you’re telling me Bogaerts is only SLIGHTLY better than these guys? Devers being rated an 81 is almost as bad. And then when I go to the Blue Jays and see Vlad rated a 74, it’s ridiculous. Whoever is in charge of player ratings should not be. These are just 3 players I’ve seen from playing a few games in franchise, I’m sure this is a widespread issue with all teams and players.

Ratings aren't updated after you already start a franchise. You need to start a new one for updated ratings

I did restart, I just started a new franchise to see if they changed anything and they didn’t.

I don't play franchise, but if I did, and put in obviously dozens of hours into one, I would spend an hour updating the ratings to what I believe is accurate before starting one.. why anyone would not do that baffles me...
I've never played a sports game where ratings are going to be accurate on every player.. -

You can edit ratings for every player in Franchise.

I fully agree about ratings this year. They are just really bad and still missing a ton of players from different teams this this year. I’m still waiting for so rosters to drop with rerated players to start a franchise this year but after putting a ton of time into this game and the amount of mistakes with rosters and player details it’s be a real disappointment this and just wondering when we are going to be able to start being able to start buying these games and start playing them instead of having to deal with correcting player details having to completely overhaul rosters for better gameplay roster updates this year have just been lazy and poor
