When I am playing online my opponent has players with average at best speed, running faster to 1st base. A lot of them I barely throw out with a ball hit to SS. On more than one occasion, they have been safe. These are guys with like 30-50 speed beating out or almost beating out routine ground balls....

Is there a secret to this?

No it's the animations more than likely making it look like a close play. Fielders animations have player speed configured into it.

Then attribute of fielder probabally needs revaluated maybe? Hard to say without seeing it but that has been my experience.

Well one thing that has happened a couple of times is my fielder does some stupid [censored] animation before throwing like slowly double tapping the ball in their mitt. Like it's happened in close games with Buxton and Lofton running to first. It's insanely annoying.

And they beat the throw after fielder tapped glove? Who was fielder? And did you preload throw?

I’ve never had this problem. Do you have a noodle armed shortstop? One with poor reaction or fielding?

You can make your guy advance to 2nd then cancel it and have him just go to first, it stops the jog to first on routine ground outs.

Corey Seager is who I play most. I have Lindor on my bench but I rarely start him.

90% of the time it's Corey Seager. I always preload... Is that bad?

No always preload makes whatever transition fielder is gonna make smoother. Corey is good SS but if i remember he is in 60's for reaction or throwing? Probabally find another SS at some point if this continues to frustrate you. Might be able to get him at 2b if you are needing his bat.

Just saw your other post i would put Lindor at short and Corey at 2nd.

I'll try out moving him to 2B but I have Robbie Alomar at 2B right now and he shreds for me.
