Ballplayer in DD

You have to grind out the archetype to a diamond version, and then grind that archetype to max.
I have a SP with a diamond professor archetype who is level 91.Yep I understand that. I have the diamond “The Hawk” archetype as well as 4 diamond perks equipped. Are you saying I need to max out the last program and get the diamond perk pack in order to receive my full stats?
-
I just started doing the DD ballplayer & I’m a silver going to gold. How many more cycles are there until he’s maxed out?

The hawk is a left field archetype isn't it? Short stop would be a secondary position if thats the case and he would lose 5 points in fielding to drop below diamond and into gold.
I think that the hawk is left field primary

He’s an 86 OVR I think. I maxed out his fielding at the 50 attribute cap in RTTS.

Well, your overall comes from all your stats, not just fielding.
My level 91 has a diamond main archetype, 3 diamond perks, and 1 gold perk.
2 perks are for pitching and the other 2 are for hitting.
Having said all this, in DD he is a level 65 starting pitcher, however once in game if I check his stats there, they are as high as any other player I have on my squad.
Currently he is second in my rotation but i have to manually place him there. -
The other thing I'll say that just because your guy is a short stop in road to the Show doesn't mean he is primary short stop in DD. It's whatever the archetype states. In rtts it's what position you decide. It's different for both

Currently he is second in my rotation but i have to manually place him there.Yeah I understand all of that. In RTTS, there is a 50 base attribute cap for your player. Through training and playing RTTS, you can’t exceed that 50 base attribute cap for your player. What I was saying is that I reached that attribute cap for fielding and I set everything else up with my archetype, equipment, and perks so that once I reached that cap, my player would have 90 fielding. Looking at my player card in DD, he does have 90 fielding, but I am playing with him right now in DD and he still has gold fielding at SS. Also, my player is not a two-way player. I decided to make my four perks go towards Power, Contact, and Fielding. Sorry for the confusion here, I should have been more specific in my initial post.

If youd read what I wrote, it explains it. In DD he is not a primary SS if you are using the hawk archetype

oh.
I've never even noticed if my player's shield is gold or diamond (or whatever). I'll look at that when I get home. -

That’s just the thing though. In Diamond Dynasty, my player is a primary SS. That’s why I do not understand why he has the gold shield instead of the diamond shield.

Like I said, in DD the hawk is a primary left field and everything else is secondary. Unless I'm wrong on that but I'm pretty sure it is. Then you can't have a ss primary with that archetype. Do you have a pic of the archetype that says you are a ss primary with that archetype in dd?

Where does it say “the hawk” is not a primary SS in DD? My diamond “the hawk” archetype says the preferred positions are “SS, C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, LF, CF, RF” not only does it list SS twice, but it lists SS first as well. Also, if I put my ballplayer in any other position other than SS in DD, it says “Secondary Pos” but it does not say that for SS. And this is all with my diamond “the hawk” archetype

No worries, I know you’re just trying to help. I’m not sure how to post an image, but I’m 99.9% sure my player is a primary SS with diamond “the hawk” archetype. I will say, as I was grinding this archetype up, it goes from spark plug, slugging spark plug, gold the hawk, and diamond the hawk. When I was a slugging spark plug (which was the silver archetype) my primary position was LF in Diamond Dynasty. However, For both the gold and diamond “the hawk” it is a primary SS in DD

Hmm, I'll have to take a look at mine when I'm at home. I was going off of memory so I dont remember 100%. I thought for sure it was LF primary. I'll look later tonight. If that is the case and it's SS primary, it should for sure be diamond defense. It would not shock me at all if they messed it up, they have messed up so much with this new way of doing road to the Show and diamond dynasty player. I'll check soon and see if there is anything else I can help with

Yep I wouldn’t be surprised either if this was messed up by SDS. I just wanted to see if there was something I missed before I go and call this an error on their part. I appreciate you taking the time to help. Let me know what your primary is for yours. I did spark plug, slugging spark plug, gold hawk, and diamond hawk and my primary positions went 2B -> LF -> SS -> SS. If everyone else has diamond hawk and it’s a primary LF, maybe mine is glitched?

Well speedy sparkplug was SS but it just led to Gold Rawhide and that's 2cd base. This sux, I just want my diamond level SS. What did you start with at bronze?
