I am a dodger fan and we have been having our own issues this year.

But, when the Mets signed Lindor I decided to become a secondary Mets fan. I even put a couple dollars on the Mets over for the season to incentivize watching him and degrom and the others play.

I gotta say it’s been rough so far. I would even say infuriating. But, lindor has had two good nights in a row and they’re above .500.

I’m not really sure why I posted this. I just wanted to give some support for real Mets fans I guess.

PS. The dodgers also look like they should get a win tonight.

Yeah it has been a tough watch over the last month! There have been a few player behaviours that have been disappointing in terms of how the players dealt with things. Starting with Conforto telling porkies about leaning into a pitch in the zone (although that was exacerbated by the umpire’s wrong call). Then Dom’s ‘see you in the tunnel’ in an interview referring to Alvarado (I don’t have a problem with players going at each other like that but doing it via the media is not setting a good example for the kids. Not as bad as Jake Arrieta’s ‘put a dent in his skull’ though). And the way Lindor and McNeil handled their altercation when something was obviously not right beforehand was and is so transparent… hopefully they’ll work out whatever their beef was and get on with the game.

Just look at the whole league. With maybe the exception of the Tigers, every team is still in the mix. Boston just now by winning became the only team over .600 baseball. Before a couple days ago there were no teams even playing .600 baseball. And only a couple playing under .400. So they are just all bunched up through around 34 games. No surprise still almost a 4/5ths of the season left, but usually some teams tank hard and some take off right out of the gate. This may be an interesting race this year. But also there is enough time for any division to have some team takeoff and win the division by 15-20 games lol..

Wade Miley threw a no hitter.

That should tell you all you need to know.

IRL MLB has more RNG going on than ever this year. When they adjust the sliders at memorial day, you'll see a greater spread. Stick skills will matter more then.

Yep, I was looking at matchups to watch on mlb.tv yesterday and thought it was weird pretty much every team has double digits W-L records already and went to look at the standings; like you said, jumped at me that only Boston is playing .600 and that there’s no obvious doormats (in terms of record). The A’s, other than their streak have been awful, the Dodgers went from world beaters to can’t win back to back games. I’m guessing the low offensive numbers and plethora of big arms around the majors is the great equalizer

Since I posted this the Mets and Lindor have started to look like the team many expected/hoped for. They’ve put up 7 today and Lindor looks like he know where he is.

As for the dodgers, I’m hoping lux’s homer last night is a little spark moving forward. It was nice to see the boys in blue win a 5-3 game.
