What is a live series card?

I know which ones are live series but what do they do? Does there stats go up all year?

Live series just means current players who are actively playing. They get the benefit of Inside Edge(IE), which can boost their stats or lower them depending on who they are facing that day.

Yeah, its a really cool feature. Adds a little shelf life to players that may not be as high rated but if they are +7 in power/contact for that day you can get some nice value from them
