Definitely love it. Keeps me more into the game while pitching. It isnt just a mundane act anymore, you can actually do something. Ive got real good on the ones that require more circle gestures, still mess up on 4 seamers at times though.

It’s amazing. If I hang a ball it’s my fault, not the game deciding I hang it

I bought a new controller yesterday because the right stick was so hammered on the last one. Switched to pinpoint and I will never go back to pure analog.

I hung 2 balls yesterday on perfect input. Played about 6 RS games. 2 is way better than the 50 I would have had in 6 RS games on 20. Was still frustrating because on one of them I was up by one and no way that pitch should have hung.

I’d have to see it to believe it, not once have I had a ball go outside the PAR area on perfect input. It rarely seldom goes outside the PAR if I’m off by a little

I have all kinds of clips and videos of bs in this game. Hell, I can't recognize pitches or even react on HOF. HOF is zero fun for me. About ready to tank down so I can enjoy the game.

I have clips off my balls in the pci going nowhere. Clips of opponents getting hits off balls not even close to the pci. I had to stop or I would run out of room. That's kind of a joke but not really.

I have a clip of my 2nd baseman standing in the center of ball indicator and letting it hit the ground. Another one of me fielding a bunt at first and running into the runner only for the runner to be called safe.

Personally not a fan. I hated it in 2k because it just feels weird and is too video gamey, if that makes sense lol. It was a big reason why back then I liked the show better. Pitching is all about rhythm, with pure analog it feels like actual pitching, pull down to load the back leg and push forward to drive toward the plate. Meter is old school baseball games and is a mainstay. Pulse is just odd to be honest lol pinpoint I have to push or pull it at an angle, do a half rotation, then pull down at an angle while trying to make it completely straight. Feels like I’m pitching like Cueto, lift my leg, do a little shimmy, hop 3 times, do a little dance, make a little love, then throw

Don’t mean to knock it completely, but it’s too gimmicky for me. Feels like you would find it in rbi baseball or another game that needs to try and be different to get a following.

Haven’t heard of that beer, lately 805 has been my go to

I agree with what you said about analog pitching, but think meter is the most realistic in mimicking the release of baseball. Early from your hand and the ball sails...late and you spike it. I really like that aspect of it even though I do use analog because every time I miss the yellow on meter it is a non competitive pitch or grooved down the middle for an automatic homer.

Meter kind of sets up some realistic thought processes like making sure you don’t leave it up which cause you to release a ball late and spike it.

I agree with meter being dead on with release point, that why it’s the most OG in all baseball games. Analog creates an actual motion as compared to meter where you just press a button twice. I wish analog hitting was better, I used to use it all the time in ncaa baseball back in the day, felt so good loading and swinging to destroy a ball.

Side note if they are looking to add an old school game mode, 100% would love to see them bring back the HR/hitting game from ncaa baseball. If you’ve never seen it before I suggest everyone to check it out, it was really fun

I used to play NCAA too. I always used zone analog because of it. I still can do it and I could compete in DD and make WS using it a few years back, but with the sinkers the way they are now and everything having the extra fraction of a second with the button helps. I hate losing more than I enjoy using analog swings I guess.

So what do we think of pinpoint pitching so far?
I for one am a big fan for a various reasons.
I'm not really going to list them right now for the sole reason I'm about 6 IPAS deep and it wouldn't make sense. But I do love it.
In case you cared, the IPA is MoonJuice from SANTAN Brewery, Chandler Arizona.

Hey send me some Kilt Lifter LOL ugh I had to leave AZ to move back to PA thanks to the pandemic.

Anyways pinpoint pitching imo is ok. Some times I'll be throwing a changeup and my circle has a zig zag and it will say 100% accurate and other times it feels like I'm 100% perfect and it says 30%. Other times I get 100% accurate and even green on my "down stroke" but the ball goes nowhere near where I placed it.

It could just be me. But it seems very inconsistent. More often then not I go back to classic pitching because I don't like the little mini games within the game. But when I do use other pitching methods, pinpoint is my go to.
